Guest guest
Hello Crystal, Enzymes are best started slowly. I was told to start the Peptizyde at 1/4 capsule at dinner for 4 days, Then add in 1/4 capsule at breakfast for 4 days. Continue to add them to each meal and substantial snack. Then up to 1/2 cap for 4 days increasing a 1/4 cap every 4 days till we reach a full cap with every meal and substantial snack. If you see some hyperactivity or aggressive behavior then back down till this passes. It could be yeast die off. My personal experience was to go slowly giving each dose increase at least a week. Also definately don't miss a dose with snack. We always know when we don't have our enzymes after a snack. Bad reactions. As far as Zyme Prime is concerned. This is where we notice the biggest improvements. We added Zyme Prime and " the Happy Child " effect really took Hold. Another major improvement was for myself. My cronic sinus congestion just disappeared! I have been dealing with this condition for most of my adult life. Then about a week after starting Zyme Prime I woke up with a clear head. I have been enjoying this side effect ever since. You can get more information on enzymes at this website - www.enzymestuff.com As far as probiotics are concerned. We use Flora Bears. You can find these in the refridgerated Probiotic section of your Health food store. These are chewable fruit flavored tablets. My children have no problem taking these. Hope this helps, ~ I > was looking into probiotics but houston says they have a capsule that > cannot be put in food/drink etc so that is out of the question, oh > yeah alana will be 3 in march. Guest guest
Crystal, we use the Houston enzymes but just buy the powder and measure it out (rather than opening the capsules). We use AFP Peptizide and Zyme Prime. We have used Nature's Way Primadophlius for Children and now use Primal Defense as a probiotic, both are powders that we mix in juice. FYI, some people recommend alternating a few different probios so the body does not get used to just one (we are going to begin that soon). Kim > > Hello Crystal, > > Enzymes are best started slowly. Guest guest
hi dana, thanks for your reply! i will have a look at the enzymes and see what they contain and will order some of the houston to see if she does better. we are currently of enzymes, probiotics and supps for our stool test monday and her eczema around her mouth is still there so i am thinking it might just be to sals/phenols? or a sign that her gut has yeast (again!)? it will be interesting to see if her mouth gets worse when we go back on everything next week! roweena x Re: New with a few questions... Posted by: " danasview " danasview@... danasview Sat Oct 6, 2007 8:21 am (PST) >>so far we have not been able to reintroduce rice or potato At my house, my son tolerated potato with HNI Zyme Prime enzyme. He did not tolerate rice until the end of ALA chelation. > 1st question - i am wondering if someone has a link to info on stools? i rememeber after reading the enzyme book i went onto karen deflices website and reading some deatiled info on interpreting stools colour and consistency but i cant seem to find it now? did i imagine it??? http://www.enzymestuff.com/rtstools.htm >>these things improved and for the most part disappeared on scd and with the use of enzymes but lately we have had alot more of these sore red lips and some red rashy bottom (no bloating or behaiour). i have used very few enzymes the last two days and her lips seem better so im feeling a little confused? She might not tolerate specific ingredients of the enzymes. Do they contain papain or bromelain? Those are commonly not tolerated. >>im just wondering if anybody else has had this sort of experience where they helped initially and then they seemed to have a negative affect? i am open to ideas on what else could cause these lips? Red, cracked, dry lips can be deficiency of folic acid and/or B2. > 3rd question - it seems like most people use houstons on this group... i use alot of kirkmans products and live in australia so it just seems easier to do the one order. alot of people here in australia seem to use the kirkmans ones but im just wondering if houstons are a better product or is there another reason people seem to favour them? Check the label. I think Kirkman contains papain/bromelain. You might find HNI works better for your child. Dana
