Guest guest
If you aren't taking an enzyme product for carbs, it would be good to consider one. Zyme Prime by Houston, Ultra-zyme Plus by Thropps, or Digest Gold by Enzymedica will all do for this. You can try one bottle of one brand and see if it helps. If not, try one bottle of another brand. You son might not be tolerating something he is eating besides gluten and casein. Did you see any improvement at all with GFCF? .
Guest guest
Also, consider non-food chemicals or naturally occuring chemical groups. Amines, benzoates, nitrates, sulfites, artificial additives...all of these may be irritating the gut and the body is trying to get rid of them. Artificial additives are not really nutritious food that body can identify as food. .
Guest guest
Soy is notoriously hard to digest--can you replace it with something else? > Lab results show no yeast, bacteria or parasites, yet despite being > GF/CF (and soy free as much as possible) since May 17th, we still > have a diarrhea problem. Some kids have diarrhea when they need zinc. The doctor thinks my son may have a > problem digesting carbohydrates??? His favorite foods are GF/CF > beannie weannies, bacon and eggs, spaghetti, Pear juice, Tofutti > icecream and Van's waffles. From this list, my son did not tolerate a few of the foods, even with enzymes. Do you use enzymes? Which one/s? And your child might still have food problems, so you might want to try removing these food items one at a time and see if you notice any changes. Also, he might not be tolerating supplements you give. Dana
