Guest guest
Motrin makes a children's dye free version. It does have artificial colors in it, but was the best choice we could find. It is also GF/CF. Here's a link to the product information: http://www.motrin.com/page.jhtml?id=motrin/products/children/dyefree.inc Looking for something that would be the least problematical for my daughter. Motrin, an ibuprophen, has FD & C yellow #6. Aleve, naproxen sodium (does anyone know if this is O.K?) has FD & C blue #2. (I also noticed that some brands refer to blue #2 as aluminum lake.) Any opinions on pain killers greatly appreciated.
Guest guest
I am sorry, I meant to say artificial flavors, NOT COLORS. Re: What to give for headaches? Guest guest
We use " Junior Strength Advil " which has easy to swallow tablets and no artificial colors. Motrin, an ibuprophen, has FD & C yellow #6. For me, headaches are because of nitrates or yeast. So I dose myself with GSE whenever I get a headache [i avoid nitrates like the plague!] I use Motrin for my kids. There is a dye free version if you like liquids. I use the adult capsules, which contain very little dyes and seem to work best for my kids. I adjust the adult dose for the age and weight of the child. Guest guest
-We use both the Motrin and Motrin cold because its available in dye free and the flavors do not bother my daughter. Although she only takes the plain Motrin ocassionally for a headache sometimes she has taken several doses of the cold over a few days when she's sick and I've never seen a negative reaction. It seems easy to find to purchase. -- In , " svallo44024 " <frankvallo@h...> wrote: > Looking for something that would be the least problematical for my > daughter.
