Guest guest
I spoke with the local bee keeper (also a med student, yay for him promoting alternative methods) this morning about using local honey for seasonal allergy relief. He recommended starting ds with one teaspoon twice a week, increasing to two tablespoons twice a week. (He also went on a rant about white sugar and flour, corn syrup, etc. which I found amusing and validating at the same time... ) He said that it's effective for about 50% of the people who use it. The other half he said it has no noticeable effect whatsoever. Is anyone here using local honey to fight allergies? How much and how is it working? So far ds is just gobbling it up in his morning oatmeal. Will it hurt him to have one teaspoon almost every morning? I forgot to ask the bee keeper about side effects? To deal with the increase in sugar I've upped the AFP, NF and probiotic. Anything else I should adjust? Thanks all.
Guest guest
I think honey is fine with kefir and smoothies, no doubt, but probably it is not good to put honey with grains, that is what can hurt the grains because antibacterial properties of honey. I haven't tried so it is a guess. I read from someone that water sugar grains don't do with honey. Jesus
