Guest guest
-I don't really have insight. Just writing to say that we have experienced the same thing. We never know why we could see great poop one day and then gritty stuff for the next seven. The SCD did not work for us. We faced total constipation for months. The day we added potatoes back in, he pooped on his own. Weird. So I too would like to know about the gritty, sandy, mushy stuff. We have done a number of probiotics, but seem to find Culturelle the most agreeable. We are also doing enzymes now...poop was great after first week, then return to the mush and grit. Frustrating! -- In , " kerstin_stevens " < stevens22@h...> wrote: > > > I am curious to know if any of your ASD children have had gritty, > sand-like stools. Guest guest
I wish I had an answer too, we are also dealing with this. We tried SCD, probiotics, anti fungals, etc. And still we have mushy and often gritty poops! I'm with yah! -- In , " rkzbh2000 " <rkzbh@n...> wrote: > > -I don't really have insight. Guest guest
I thought this was only happening with my son. Normal stools and then gritty for a while. The behaviors and eating habits have improved so much I figured I could live with the grit. McDermott <jtmcde@...> wrote: I wish I had an answer too, we are also dealing with this. Guest guest
From what I have been told it is from bile salts breaking down the carbs. They aren't being digested thoroughly so you end up with the samdy stools. MISSY SAHM to some special kids!!! All kid's are gifted; some just open their packages earlier than others. -- Carr Re: Gritty, Sand-like Stools I wish I had an answer too, we are also dealing with this.
