Guest guest
We started HNIs in Feb, March maybe. My son has had really soft stools since we started them and I expected a change like I read about in s book. I have added and removed supplements, left and right. Made sure I haad all the " right " ones (as much as possible). He is so sensitive to everything- 25-ish foods including cellulose. Most recently, treating his yeast/bacteria, most of his stools are almost perfect(still soft which is better than not), except, ALWAYS at the end of the day he has almost liquid diapers. And since starting/changing all of these enzymes, supps, foods, and especially treating the yeast/bacteria this is the only thing that has remained constant, even gotten worse. The VILE smell is gone and the color is normal, there is still undigested food, but HE is so much better. We have even added in oats! No reactions to food. I let the cellulose settle down to the bottom of the cup before I syringe off the liquid when giving the enzymes, so, I'm pretty sure it is not the cellulose. Has anyone else had a reaction to the enzymes themselves? Every once in a while he does say that he hurts, and he points to the center of his body, not knowing it is his stomach. I will ask if his abdomen (by pointing) hurts and he says no. It doesn't seem to be reflux because he knows what makes that feel better and doesn't want it. I reread some parts of the book and saw that enzymes might hurt a badly injured gut, but would it still hurt, 3-4 mos later? And this really seems to be his stomach... Anyway, HELP! Regards, a mom to
Guest guest
a, If you are talking about an ulcer, you need to email Dr. Houston and talk to your doctor about how to approach taking the enzymes. You may just need to go a little lower with the Peptizyde, but I would check on this. The undigested food and loose stools might be helped by increasing the amount of Zyme Prime. I would consider the " original " rice bran formula which has bromelain. The bromelain might help firm up the stools. > We started HNIs in Feb, March maybe. Or he might still be eating foods the enzymes don't address. Or in my son's case, *supplements* the enzymes did not address. >>there is still undigested food, Remove whatever is still undigested. Guest guest
Thanks, . I might try calling/e-mailing. We have recently been able to reduce the amount of prevacid he gets and he has done amazingly well without it. Unlike other trials. He has had scopes, tests for ulcers and- nothing, but that could change. I did have the idea to lower the enzymes, too. I did it this morning. I am sure he wouldn't do well on the rice formula. Problems with rice. I will look for a bromelain enzyme though. Thank you. a > a, > > If you are talking about an ulcer, you need to email Dr. Houston and > talk to your doctor about how to approach taking the enzymes.
