Guest guest
My first guess is phenols, although it may be a simple detox. A loose stool only occurs when the magnesium isn't absorbed. He may have used all that you gave him! Guest guest
Hi ! My son would get pink cheeks whenever he consumed a dairy product (before enzymes..now it doesn't happen). It would be followed by red ears, red lips, irritability. My ped. told me it was an allergic rxn. When it got bad we would give Benadryl. We found out three years ago that he did have a considerable allergy to dairy. We went GFCF then, but have noticed that there have been no problems whatsoever with dairy when we started enzymes a few weeks ago. Did you check the fillers in the mag citrate? My son always had a problem with supplements. I hope your little guy...and the rest of you...are doing well. Lori Getz
Guest guest
Hi Lori - I'm curious about how you went about a dairy infraction with your son. My son has only been on the enzymes for 6 weeks and I haven't tried an infraction yet. He's been GFCF 8 months and I know with the holidays around the corner there might be some sort of accident. LOL+ACE- Thanks - Maribeth Re: +AFs-enzymes+AF0- pink cheeks with magnesium Hi +ACE- My son would get pink cheeks whenever he consumed a dairy product (before enzymes..now it doesn't happen). Guest guest
Maribeth- Sorry for the late reply..I went away for a long weekend and I'm still trying to catch up! Before enzymes I accidentally gave him something with dairy. It was still in his mouth when I realized my mistake and I had him spit it out. He swallowed a little bit, but that's all it took for the redness to start. I gave him some Benadryl and it helped. has (had?) a true allergy to milk, and I was told that avoiding it for several years might lower or reverse it. Before enzymes (in August) he had a problem. We were GFCF for the first month on enzymes and I felt brave enough to give him some milk. NOTHING HAPPENED! Now I let him have a little bit of dairy nearly every day and he's still okay. So this led me to believe that the redness was the intolerance end of things and not the allergy. A full serving of gluten is still a little bit of a problem. We only allow that on special occasions. Good luck! Lori Getz
