Guest guest
In case you want another take on the subject of the safety of edible clay for detoxing, here is what Ray Kong from California Earth Minerals had to say about trace metals in the Terramin: > Elements on the periodic table that are in the natural form are vastly > different from man made highly > processed elements such as aluminum in airplanes or lead in paint. Its > the > industrial processing that make most substances toxic, such as > separating > naturally combined atoms of these elements into one for industrial > uses. > When these elements are in their natural state, these elements are > combined > forming compounds that are safe. Example, hydrogen when industrially > processed changing its molecular structure, is very lethal > (bombs, fuels, etc.), however in its natural state when mixed with oxygen > becomes water. > Calcium montmorillonite holds a very powerful negative charge that > when > attracted to positively charged toxins, bacterium, etc., combine and > draw > out these elements to be eliminated through the normal channels of > elimination.(detoxification) > Just as an added note, my father's side of the family is largely native American, and they have been ingesting this type of clay for generations. My great-grandfather (who is still alive and quite well at 104 years old) told me that the clay is so effective, you can ingest poison and take the clay right afterwards and not get sick. I guess traditionally when they had to scavenge for things to eat and there was something questionable like a plant toxin, they would take eat clay along with it just in case. This was when I started taking it an giving it to my daughter who has been known to eat ANYTHING. Beats Ipecac!
Guest guest
actually i was just reading something about aborigines in australia eating clay i think the question of toxic metals is quantity and you just have to calculate out how much and most likely the amounts are not significant most people are likely to breathe a heap more in from car fumes. its always been really wierd to me to see people agaonise over tiny amounts of some toxin from say teflon when the car trip to school or whatever delvers hundereds of times more. i think the clay must work the same as zeolite, has a huge internal structure that soaks up organics, this is an issue with zeolite as a dryer in salt , to absorbative of trace minerals so it is a remedy and and not a supplment so i would be wary of taking it on a regular basis.
