We started bringing our 2.5 yo non-verbal PDD son to a DAN! doctor

back at the end of October. He's been on the GFCF diet since that

time as well (he was technically on it since August, but at the

advice of a pediatric GI dr., we put him back on a gluten containing

diet - bad move!) and the dr. started him on supplements & enzymes.

Since then, more has been added to his daily regiment of pills -

he's up to 7 different kinds now... plus cod liver oil. Anyway, I've

been seeing a lot of posts from people using the Houston Enzymes,

and most people seem to be quite pleased. I'm just curious if this

is something I should check out as well, or is our current regiment

doing the same thing? Here is what he's taking currently:

Digestase - dietary support - 2/day

GI Flora - probiotic - 2/day

Magnesium Potassium Taurate - 2/day

Mineral 650 - 2/day

Zinc Picolinate - 1/day

B6+B Complex - 2/day - I can't get him to take these due to the smell

Multi-vi-min - 2/day - ditto

1 tsp Cod Liver oil - 1/day

I have to say, when we first started we noticed a big difference in

his energy level, and he seemed to be very happy - which he

generally is anyway. Since then, things have leveled off and he

still seems to be doing well. I'm just curious if there is something

more he can be getting from different types of enzymes. We have

another dr. appt next month, but I wanted to get advice from some

parents first, before talking to the dr. (He's not the easiest guy

to talk to, I'm afraid).

Does anybody out there have any stories or advice to share? Are we

doing too much... or am I missing something? Also, our boy is not a

big eater, so I question whether or not to give him enzymes more

than 2x a day... is there something that can increase his appetite?

TIA
