I know he's not getting the vitamins and minerals he needs. I have learned that my son tolerates L.acidophilus from www.customprobiotics.com. I do have my son on the SCD but I may change that soon. (I also tried Kirkman, threelac, theralac, culturelle, and probably some other probiotics on my son, none of which he tolerated.) Also, per Dana's recommendation on a question I posed about a month ago, I purchased colloidal silver and dosed my son with that for about 7 days. This helped my son's bowel movements so my son's problems must have been bacteria instead of yeast. You could try getting colloidal silver, the spray form, and dose your child with that. Guest guest
My son had smelly, frequent bowel movements when he had Clostridia... Here is what I used to solve the problem: --Cultrelle (lots of it!) --Lauricidin with AFP and NF Houston Enzymes --Primal Defense --FloraJen (probiotic) --green tea extract (green tea might work, too) WHAT NOW ? I`ve tried kirkman enzymes and houston enzymes and primal defense, and theelac. My son still has frequent bowl movements evey day. He has very fowl smelling bowel movements, always has. I swear it goes in one end and right back out the other. I`m sure he has low or no stomach acid. Could taking meds for reflux when he was younger have caused that? He can`t swallow a cap. so i can`t get Betaine HCI down him. I know he should probably be on the simple carbohydrate diet, but had to get him to eat certain things. At the end of my rope with all this special diet and suppliment thing. If he can`t absorb, it seems hopeless. Tina
Guest guest
Meant to say 3 days on - 11 days off without giving any minerals on the on days ! What now ? Hi all,I need some advice. We have been chelating since June, using 8 hourlyprotocol, oral dmsa, 300mg dose, 3 days on and 3 days off. My son is5 1/2 ston in weight, 12 years old yesterday. Everything appeared fine and we were seeing some really nice gains andgreat behaviours until Monday last week, the day after a chelationweekend. Since then he has been unbelievably stimmy, really old stims havereappeared along with tense, stressful behaviour. He isn't copingwell with any changes. He is becoming stressed at the slightest thingand tantrumming, pinching, grabbing (all things we left behind sometime ago). Oh, and he even put soil in his mouth in the middle of atantrum. (I haven't seen him do this for years)! He looks totallyspaced out with an awful frown on his face, which for us usuallyspells trouble. He has also been wanting pressure on his arms andjoints which are all things that we used to see. I am giving him custom probiotics, nystatin, advanced biocidin foryeast/ bacteria. He has been on all of these for some time. This weekend we are due to do another round of chelation. I amconcerned that he is already stressed and not quite sure what to give, change, do to help him get through this. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Trying not to get disheartened as I amsure we can sort him out.Jane
Guest guest
Hi Jane We have also been seeing good gains with Charlie but about 2 weeks ago he regressed to about a year ago in some areas - stimming loads, baby talk, non aware, very non-compliant, weeing on in the house/garden etc - it's very disressing isn't it? Anyway dr said probably yeast and clostridia so he is on a 2 week course of diflucan and we are also giving vancomycin for 1 week (have to stop vanco when the diflucan is finished that's why only one week). Dr has told me if this doesn't get him back after the week to contact him and he will re-think. He is always on nystatin 3xper day (break while giving diflucan) but don't think this copes with bad yeast overgrowth which chelation causes. Oh and we have stopped chelating for a week as well.
