I am thinking maybe he has gas from die off - does his tummy seem bigger or

it is just the scales that are the worry?

Mandi in UK

The problem is, he said he's GAINED 3 pounds since starting these enzymes a

week and a half ago, and isn't LOSING a thing! He noticed when he took them

between meals, he would have very loose stools. Is there something more

specific I should be having him try? Any help would be appreciated--he has

battled this problem for so long, I sure would like to help him. Thanks . . .

Hi, Diane. I recently found out that excess weight is simply stored

acid wastes, and that alkalinizing our blood is the answer to just

about any health condition (including bacterial-, viral-, and

fungal-related problems), as well as weight loss.

For example, my daughter-in-law (who has a thyroid problem) has not

been able to shed the weight she gained when pregnant 6 years ago . . .

Until she started to drink alkaline water and emphasize

alkaline-forming foods in her diet. She made the change for health

reasons, and was very excited to find she also quickly lost 20 pounds!

(She also found out after she lost this weight, that she was pregnant

again, and they had been trying for months!)

I have been alkalinizing for 2 months myself, and not only is my

arthritis almost completely gone, but I have lost 15 pounds. (We just

bought a water ionizer to make it easy for our whole family to drink

this healing water.)

According to " The New Biology, " as Dr. Young calls it, it's all about

neutralizing and eliminating acid wastes, whether it's uric acid in the

joints, or fatty acids on our hips, and alkalinizing is the key. It's

so simple, and it makes so much sense, scientifically.

I have and highly recommend the book The pH Miracle by O. Young

and Redford Young. They also have a new book, The pH Miracle

for Weight Loss, which one can pre-order, although it's not ready to

ship yet. I'm sure it would be very informative and helpful. Here's the

web page with info about the books:

http://www.phmiracleliving.com/books.htm

I hope this helps your husband and his whole family!

Best wishes,

Lalita

I started enzymes a couple of weeks ago and also cut out a lot of my sugar

intake. I have since lost 8 pounds. I am also not wanting to eat as much.

Maybe since we are getting more out of what we eat we are needing to adjust the

amount eaten??

Glad someone posted about weight and enzymes. I am hoping to get to gain

more weight but I didn't expect to lose weight. Not that I am complaining,

after three c-sections I need the help! Is this normal?

I am also not really getting much of a reaction to the enzymes with my son. I

have noticed his urine is smelling much different and I think he might have had

some discomfort with urination last night but that is it. I have even increased

to a capsule of each Zyme Prime and AFP Peptizyde. He was taking a capsule of

Kirkman's EnZym-Complete without issue if this matters??? Everyone always

comments on behavior changes and I have braced for the worst. We are also not

at 100% at remembering, he gets about two doses every day.

Thanks!

This is something I'm wondering about also. Son now eats basically 1

meal a day. Am really trying to push the water on him as he doesn't

feel thirsty either. So he gets the enzymes 1-2 times a day and that's

it. Is this normal?? Prior to him taking the Omega 3 fish oil he drank

so much that I worried and had him tested for diabetes, now he drinks

even less....THanks Rose

the lipase is simply increasing the efficiency of his fat digestion

and transport so thats not where the problem lies

humans are designed to metabolise fat if they have the right trace

minerals and iodine and chromium gtf are very important here

his family may simpy not retain iodine well

i have written up about this 'iodine' in the index of

http://tinyurl.com/2csa3

and also 'minerals i take' for chromium gtf

there is only one satifactory way to take iodine as that is as i have

written up

Is your husband very stressed? I have been reading lately that under stress

people often cannot lose weight. Especially if the stress has been chronic

and for a long time. Chronic stress leads to adrenal fatigue and as the

adrenals function at a lower level producing excess weight, the body stores

fat....

Can also be a thyroid problem.

But there are lots of reasons why someone battles with weight.

AJ

Well, this is interesting. In general, enzymes help regulate weight.

There was even a rather large clinical study done in 1932 where they

took about hundred people who were overweight, about 100 underweight,

and 100 that were the weight advised for their size ('normal'

weight). All started digestive enzymes regularly. At the end of

several months, just about all the overweight people had lost weight,

all the underweight people had gained to a typical level, and

the 'average' weight people stayed just where they were, not gaining

or losing. So enzymes generally bring your body into balance.

It could be that his weight will shift over the next month or two.

Since he is an adult, it might take a little longer to correct any

past gut problems.

There is also a little move some adults tend to pick up which could

be described as the Social Snackin' Shuffle. You start enzymes and

just feel better and have much more energy. So you start socializing

more. And socializing means snacking. Some people (and I won't name

anyone within 50 miles of my house) start snacking more than they

realize and pick up some weight. Or they start eating more high

calorie foods with less nutrition. Try keeping a very accurate food

diary for a week. I have read more than once that people tend to eat

30% more calories than they think they do. Keeping a diary helps you

find these sources.

>>>>He noticed when he took them between meals, he would have very

loose stools.

This is common enough and should go away in a day or so. The gut

readjusts to processing more food and liquid (and cleaning gunk out).

So there can be general shifting around inside in the very beginning.

>>>Is there something more specific I should be having him try? >

You mentioned some family tendencies. Thyroid problems as well as how

your body reacts to stress can affect weight when it is a long

standing problem that isn't responding to the normal caloric/exercise

principles. Those would be things to consider.

Namaste, Vinutha. The ionizer I bought is the one on this web page:

http://www.ionizers.org/microlite.html

Ours just arrived, so we will probably set it up tomorrow. It was

expensive, but first I was using Trinity bottled alkaline water, and

then alkalinizing drops I ordered online. This unit replaces our

current water filter, and just makes more sense for our family.

Best wishes, Lalita
