Guest guest
Hi - My son was having loose stools until we added Thropps Ultra Zyme Plus about 4 months ago. His stools became formed within a day of adding the enzymes. He has also been on SCD for 5 months now. After 4 months of normal bowel movements, we have now been dealing with constipation and bleeding for the last month. I am wondering if it is possible that he has healed some on SCD and no longer needs enzymes. My thought is that if the enzymes helped him to go from being loose to having formed stools, maybe if he no longer needs them, they are now causing him to have constipation? The other major change we made is that about 1 month prior to the constipation beginning, we added goat cheese and yogurt. Does this make any sense and has anyone else experienced this? Thanks
Guest guest
bascially this is an unresolvable issue of scd. by reducing the total bacterial/yeast mass then the stool is drawing less water into it. however that reduced intestinal flora biomass is very high metabolic gain and of considerable benefit to the child so you are sorta caught!!!!!!!! you could try switching or dropping the enzymes but you may have to look at adding an organic magnesium or such. ACTUALLY you are now in a position to try whey which will help. 10 or 5 iu a day of vitmain e may help as well. the other difficult to resolve issue of scd is blood sugar which again whey will help with. when i was doing scd without whey i noticed a blurring in the far visual field which the optomertrist says can be caused by a blood sugar issue with a diabetes type metabolic form of sugar getting in the lens and pulling more water into the lens and distorting it,,,,,NOT GOOD at all as the lens will damage ....... some times quite quickly........... anyway whey seems to solve the blood sugar issue with its lactose, the lens become clear again after taking whey for a while........ > Hi - > > My son was having loose stools until we added Thropps Ultra Zyme Plus > about 4 months ago.
