Guest guest
Hi All, It seems we have a case of the stomach flu circulating in our house. My 16 month old NT daughter came down with it on the 23rd. Mainly, the symptoms are intense, frequent (upto 8 times a day), watery, yellowish/pale stools. She also didn't have much of an appetite although she would drink lots of fluids. This lasted until yesterday. Today, it appears that my 2.5 year old ASD son is coming down with the same thing. We have been treating for bacteria and yeast with culturelle and he was/is responding well. He takes full doses of enzymes with each meal and a small amount with each snack. Since we think this is a stomach virus, should I continue to give him the culturelle? Will this help to move the virus along quicker? Should I give enzymes between meals (without food) to help move this along? What does this do to the bacteria and yeast we were treating? Does it help clean that out or will it make it worse? Thanks for any suggestions.
