Guest guest
>... I enjoyed reading you message about mixing the GF free flour, do >>you do a lot of cooking baking? The GF bread recipe that I use is the one >>with Bette Hagemans Four flour blend ( some are from beans), I tried other >>mixes and flour mixes and none were even edible. JoAnn, I use Bette Hagman's cook books a little. Just for starter recipes then concoct simular foods. The bread mix is her's just expanded. And Yes we make our own bread, pizza, waffles(4xrecipe makes 60 waffles) from the flour mix. I go through 25 pounds of brown rice flour in 2 months add to that the tapica and potato starch. I also get recipes off the GFCFkids list(it's also). And I have Sam's birth Mom has given several recipes they use that are Kosher. I take from where I can get. & Garry, parents of (11 ds), (10 ds), JJ (8 ds/autism/celiac), (7 ds/ADHD/Celiac), and Esther (4 ds). All adopted. Guest guest
Hi JoAnn, We didn't use that med for Brook when he was having a terrible time with the yeast diaper rash/infection. I think we used mycolog cream, which worked very well. We didn't have any other problems and haven't had a reoccurrence of the problem. Brook has been on antibiotics many times since then and is still doing fine. I am putting diaper rash cream, the thick kind, like Desitin, on him twice a day which is keeping his bottom in good shape. Guest guest
Sobana--I believe you mean Grapefruit Seed Extract. That is the antifungal. Grape Seed Extract is an antioxidant. Grapefruit seed extract works very well for some. However, it is high in phenols, so your daughter may or may not tolerate it. My daughter had yeast we could not get rid of with prescription antifungals or GSE. I finally found something that works well for her. It is an enzyme product that eats the cell wall of the yeast. It is called Candex, and my local health food store has it. I would also give probiotics at the same time. Hope that helps.--Tod > > hi > > my 5yr old daughter has been cfgf diet for 5months now. her stool > tests had showed yeast. she was on nystatin for a month. now four > weeks after nystatin is over she goes mushy stools everyday with > undigested particles in it. the yeast has come to revisit us again. > > iam planning to start her on zimeprime - please tell me if this will > help with the yeast ? please also give any other suggestions you all > may have on yeast. can i give her grape seed extract? i have heard > chewing garlic/oregano also helps. any suggestions are welcome!! > > thanks > sobana
Guest guest
> iam planning to start her on zimeprime - please tell me if this will > help with the yeast ? Usually it is No-Fenol that helps with yeast. Not sure if Zyme Prime would be effective for that. >> please also give any other suggestions you all > may have on yeast. can i give her grape seed extract? i have heard > chewing garlic/oregano also helps. Grapefruit seed extract, garlic, oil of oregano, all of these are helpful against certain strains of yeast. Guest guest
I suspect my son may have yeast problems. He has sensory problems and has dark circles under his eyes. I am thinking of giving him GSE but I am nervous to since I've heard that if he doesn't have a yeast problem this can cause " bad bacteria " . How can you tell if it's causing bad bacteria or if it's just die off? Also, if it is bad bacteria what do you do about it? I tasted the liquid GSE and it tastes terrible, does anyone know if the tablets work as well? Tbanks.

Diarrhea with lumps in it. I stopped the GSE, gave Culturelle, and that worked. > I tasted the liquid GSE and it tastes terrible, does anyone know if > the tablets work as well? Not nearly as well. I can use the tablets as " maintenance " , but they don't do much if I have an active yeast condition, unless I take 4-5 of them. Guest guest
My son has the dark circles and sensory issues. How else can we determine if yeast is a problem? His BM's are usually normal, maybe once a week they will be mushy. danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > > I suspect my son may have yeast problems. Guest guest
Dana, You said that the sensory issues and dark circles may be a phenol issue. I've seen a definite improvement in his behavior since we've started epsom salt baths, so that made me think it was a phenol issue. But I don't see any problems with his behavior when he eats pizza (tomato sauce) or drinks apple juice. I think I see trouble when he has chocolate and ketchup. Does this make any sense? > > > > I suspect my son may have yeast problems. His BM's are usually normal, maybe once a week they will be mushy. Here is my yeast info page http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm For my son, if he has yeast in his head, he will have behaviors and sometimes dark circles, but it will not show in the bm. Sounds like he has problems with amines, and not salicylates. http://www.zip.com.au/~ataraxy/Salic_03.txt Dana
