Guest guest
, My son was unable to tolerate the Kirkman enzymes due to papain and bromelain. Needless to say, he was unable to get off the GFCF diet with the Kirkman enzymes. I can only rave about the Houston products. They are extremely effective and, not only that, the company gives excellent customer service. I think it is worth the little bit of extra shipping cost to use the two different companies. Guest guest
Hello, I am new to enzymes. My DAN doctor just suggested these for my 3 yr 4 mo old son. He has mild PDD-NOS. He is speech delayed and has severe oral motor issues. He eats only pureed foods. (baby food) I had him tested for food sensitivies and he tested positive for milk, wheat, pineapple, coconut, bananas, coffee, chili peppers, onions. He also tested low positive for yeast. He is taking Nystatin. We have been following the CFCF diet and a yeast free diet for 2 months now. Our DAN dr has now suggested enzymes. I have been reading the Enzyme stuff website. Any other good websites? I saw that Houston Nutraceuticals has CFGF enzymes and also yeast fighter enzymes. I also saw on Kirkman's website that they have similar products. I already get Super-nu-thera from Kirkman and have to order DMG from them as well. I would like to stay with one company unless the Houston products mentioned on the enzyme stuff website are preferred. Has anyone had success with one but not the other? Is anyone giving their child suppliments for yeast and GFCF with success? My son also takes Pro-EFA and we have seen a lot of verbal improvement with it. I look forward to reading back and seeing your successes and hopefully sharing my successes with you.

Kirkman ones are just for trace amounts...not for use instead of diet. They are fine for overall general digestion. Actually most people trying both (including us) fine that Houston ones MUCH more effective. There isn't anything that works like No-Fenol. The Kirkman advertised 'copies' haven't given the same results at all. Since you listed pineapple as not being well tolerated, look for enzymes without papain, bromelain, or actinidin. These are related to pineapple. The Houston AFP Peptizyde, and AFP or SCD version of Zyme Prime are without these 'fruity' enzymes. No-Fenol doesn't have fruity enzymes. One of the only other lines without fruity enzymes is the Enzymedica line (with the exception of 1 or 2 products. Enzymes are very specific and the formulation can make a big difference. You can mix and match different enzyme products though. Even from different companies. How is the SNT working out? One thing to note is that when starting Houston enzymes, often the high B6 formulas aren't needed anymore. In fact, they can be a bit problem. Probably because the enzymes enhance absorption of food, supplements, and any meds so now it is actually metabolizing the vitamins better and you are getting too much. With poor absorption a lot of what you give may be passing on through so you don't notice it before enzymes. , besides the www.enzymestuff.com site, you can look at: http://www.buywobenzym.com/ has information on proteases for systemic use http://www.enzymeuniversity.com/artman/publish/ this site was recently updated .
