For years, we have struggled to find effective and affordable resources and

interventions for , our now 13 year old Autistic son. Fortunately, more

self-help resources, both medical and educational types, are becoming

available. Since I have been employed as a behavior consultant for several

school districts over the past 10 years, I decided to document effective potty

training and behavior management techniques that have proven to be effective

with my son as well as with 1,000s of other children suffering from a wide range

of developmental issues and autism related behaviors.

I am proud to report that my new book entitled " Road to Independence, " featuring

independence skills training for special needs children, is now available at

barnes and noble.com, www.bn.com. A brief description of the book and ordering

information can be found at

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?userid=bsq1UCr2cK & is\

bn=059531225X & itm=14

. I am also proud to inform you that the book has been designated as Editor's

Choice by iUniverse.com Publishing company for its quality. Please read it. This

book was just released in April and I have received so many positive comments. I

would love to hear your opinions and request that you do a book review at the

link above as it is proving to be a good resource for other parents and teachers

of our special ones.

Another popular and recently released book is called Overcoming Autism: Finding

the Answers, strategies, and hope that can transform a child's life by Koegel &

Lazebnik. Happy reading.

Best Regards,

Mother of , age 13
