Look at other foods with amines and see if there is a common reaction with this food chemical group. Also, many neurotransmitters are amines if he has a problem with the balance of those. http://users.bigpond.net.au/allergydietitian/fi/histamine.html . Guest guest
Oooohhhh, big a-ha moment for me here. NOW I'm getting it... Thanks. > >>>Even with no-fenol his behavior after eating even half a banana > was hyper, stimmy, etc. > > When this happens, I suspect amines (which bananas have but No- Fenol > does not necessarily target). Guest guest
me too. just from my brief reading of karens link and a dictionary definition of amines - { Any of the organic compounds produced when one or more hydrogen atoms of ammonia is replaced with organic groups. When used as a suffix in a long name for an organic molecule (i.e. " - amine " in " glutamine " ), it indicates the presence of an -NH2 group. } fermenting seems to covert amino acids to amines so a ripe banana is fermenting and coverting amino acids to amines and the riper i guess the higher the amines. the grapes i have been eating in the last day or so are starting to feremnt, i wonder if that caused my migraine? its interesting form an scd point of view because you are not necessarily escaping fermentation by products by waiting until the bananas are ultra ripe and hence minimal disaccaride sugar but it does point to the huge potency of a food exclusion approach that minimises fermentation in the gut. > > >>>Even with no-fenol his behavior after eating even half a banana > > was hyper, stimmy, etc. > > > > When this happens, I suspect amines (which bananas have but No- > Fenol > > does not necessarily target). Guest guest
Looks like you're " getting it " a little better than I am, lol. Thanks for that SCD link. Very digestible, lol. > > > >>>Even with no-fenol his behavior after eating even half a > banana > > > was hyper, stimmy, etc. > > > > > > When this happens, I suspect amines (which bananas have but No- > > Fenol > > > does not necessarily target).
