BlankHi! I am in the process of chelating all 3 of my children with oral

ALA(thanks to all of the great advice/support from you guys!!), and I am in

Round #4 with my oldest son, and Round #2 with my two youngest sons. I am doing

a 3 days on/4 days off schedule with my oldest, and a 3 days on/11 days off with

my two youngest--just because I think the two younger ones might need to go

lower and slower--trying to avoid yeast overgrowth, etc.

*Do you have them on probiotics?

**Yes, I am using Culturelle once a day. So far, no yeast problems that I can

tell.

ANYWAY . . . how do I know if the chelation is working or not?

*What behaviors made you think they were mercury toxic? Improvements in those

behaviors are what you are looking for...(for example) If they had poor eye

contact you may see better eye contact, if they had limited language you might

notice more/better communication, etc.

**My youngest is dxd as ASD--he met all the criteria. He has greatly improved,

but still a ways to go. My oldest was dxd with adhd/anxiety/bipolar disorder.

He can be very moody, have rages, is " out of it " until his medicine kicks in,

lack of impulse control in decision making, etc. etc. etc. My middle child is

VERY over emotional/intense, and also had language delays/apraxia (still working

on that), and also arm flaps and jumps when excited or concentrating on

something.

What behaviors should I be looking for, and WHEN? AFTER the chelation days?

During?

*Some do better on chelation days (typically those low in sulfur) and some do

better on the " off " days. It often takes at least 5 rounds to see changes, more

for some people.

I'm unclear about WHEN the metals would be pulled during this process.
My oldest son seems to be not quite so moody, already, and I don't know if it's

just a coincidence because he got a lot of cool stuff for Christmas, or what! :)

I'm hoping instead, it is a positive result of chelation so far???

*Certainly possible!

** I really think it might be!

My middle son seems to get very over emotional on chelation days (he is my over

emotional one to begin with!!), and I've lowered the dose for him--still

happens. Is THIS a sign that something is " working " or it is just too soon to

tell? Do I need to go REALLY low with him?
*I presume that your kids have NO mercury amalgam dental fillings, right? Did

your middle son's hair test show elevated copper? When was his last vaccine?

**No, none of them have amalgam fillings. No elevated copper for my middle son.

His last vaccine would have been approx 2 years ago.
How often should I do hair element tests? I am deciding to rely on those, as it

is something I can do myself from home. My youngest son's 2nd hair test came

back VERY elevated in Arsenic--I'm told this is a GOOD thing? His first test was

NOT elevated (or just barely). What am I trying to find with each consecutive

hair element test?
*I hair test only once a year but I'm an adult. I don't know how often others

hair test. If they met the counting rules the first test, you want to see

whether or not they still meet the counting rules on subsequent tests. Also you

eventually want the toxic metals which were in the red to go to yellow and then

green. The levels will fluctuate for a while (different for everybody) at first

most likely so testing very frequently willl probably just confuse you. ALA

chelates arsenic. Just make sure he doesn't have any current exposure. How

long had you been chelating him when you did the second hair test?

**We only had chelated for about 1-2 months, using Authia Cream. We weren't

using ALA at that time. His first test had been a year prior to that.
Thanks for clearing up my confusion!!
