Guest guest
Hello, I have questions about a yeast problem I have in my nt daughter. We adopted her from China at Christmas and she turned 1 yesterday. While we were in China, she had a horrible cold and the dr.'s there gave us a prescription for Chinese antibiotics for 3 days. She had a couple spots in her diaper area that after we got home kept getting worse. We tried lotrimine, neosporine and several other things the dr. told us to, but with no luck. We then went to a dermatologist who prescribed fluconazole for 5 days for yeast in the gut to help and to not use diaper wipes, use zinc oxide and cortizone for redness. This didn't help, so we got a refill from our ped. We are almost done with it (14 days) I also began giving her some of my son's probiotics a few days ago and it did seem to help. When she has a bm, her bottom still turns very red. She also has the red ring around her bottom that others have talked about here for yeast. Are there any suggestions about what else I can try? Thank you for your help. M
