Guest guest
I think I am fighting both yeast and bacteria and want to check with those of you out there who have dealt successfully with this and make sure that I am doing it right. For bacteria, I am using Oil of Oregano and Uva Ursi. It seems to help his OCD and his moods when I use it. Then, however, he gets very loud and silly and hyper--which I think is yeast, which I am treating with Primal Defense and ThreeLac. I'm also hoping to start with kefir this week. Do these treatments interfere with each other? Should I give them together or apart.... with meals or not? Any suggestions for dealing with this would be great. Thanks-
Guest guest
Jill, I have been there. I had to have the help of a naturopath because my symptoms had progressed too far for just self-help....and had more than candida. (secondary issues). Try this....www.naturopathic.org for a naturopath in your area. It was expensive, but I got my life back. I had stool tests, blood tests, a long history taken.....problems determined...leaky gut, rare yeast issues plus candida, food sensitivities, thyroid antibodies Treatment was multi-focal...some of which included Armour thyroid, supplements, elimination diet, lifelong diet modifications, diflucan for a couple of months (very helpful), changes in how and what I eat. It was only a matter of a few days that I started to improve and have never looked back. What part of the country do you live? Joan candidiasis From: jllybnbg@... Date: Sun, 13 Dec 2009 16:08:57 +0000 Subject: Yeast/bacteria Hello. I am new to this group and need some quick advice. I have the classic telltale symptoms of combo vaginal yeast/bacteria but feel the body has been invaded! I am unemployed, so trying to treat this yeast thing on my own, especially given the medical profession today. I do have insurance, but just want to get on the road to good health. I had a general overall feeling of TOTAL uckiness....frequent urination, strong vaginal odor (not yeasty, not fishy, more like urine...ewwww) and strange full body skin sensation that is hard to describe (even around my lips) and tingling of fingers, hair falling out by handfulls etc., fullness or pressure in lower abdomen, horrible lower back ache, sinus pain and dryness, migraine, dry eyes, insomnia, weight gain, anxiety. Too many symptoms to describe. These symptoms were all precipitated by extreme stress and a horrible diet. I started taking " Bladdex " and an acidophilus with 8 million strains by NOW along with garlic and other vitamin, nutritional supplements. Also, I have been eliminating breads, sugars, hi carbs, etc. I last bathed with Neem soap, which also seemed to help. My question is, I have read where you can insert acidophilus capsules into your vagina. Is this recommended? I have had sex once after treating with monistat and I feel swollen inside. Yikes! Also, I tried the accupuncture with the chinese herbalist and this was nor relieved, thus I maybe do not place faith in that route unless someone out there can recommend herbs she did not. My next step is to get the coconut oil and possibly oregano oil since I have been reading a vast amount on these two oils on the www. I need thyroid testing, but need to change doctors because my gp will not switch me to armour and at this point I feel I need a doctor that will treat me as a whole since I have many symptoms to treat and less money to treat me with! Does anybody have any suggestions on where to go from here? I am also weaning from my bp medications to help relieve this situation. I think I am on the right path, am feeling panicy...... overwhelmed..........almost impatient. Can someone just tell me what I am doing right or wrong and what else I can do? uggghhhhh............... _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Powerful Free email with security by Microsoft. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/171222986/direct/01/
Guest guest
Joan, Oh, that's great! I will check out that website to see if there is a doctor that is close to me. I have already been checking Armour's website for doctor's in my area. There is one not far from me that I will be giving a call to since I already know that thyroid is part of my problem. I was just wondering what other types of supplements, etc some people were using and what types of results they were getting from them. That's great if you got quick results - I hope I do, too! Guest guest
Candida makes the bodies cells " hard " so they can not get the nutrients/thyroid in the blood, etc....quality fish oil is helpful. I use Carlson's or Nordic Naturals cod liver oil or fish oil ....they both have quality/tested products (not cheap). I am sure there are other companies who have good products. A naturopath can help you determine if you have leaky gut as well as candida. I had to eliminate gluten, sugar of all kinds except stevia, mushrooms (fungus), vinegar, coffee, most tea, dairy of all kinds even butter/ghee in the end, fermented foods (more fungus)... I added liquid minerals and vitamins especially b's, fish oil, quality protein, iodine, inulin, probiotics, selenium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium for several months (must be monitored, lots of spring water, no tap water unless filtered, lemon juice and quality olive oil daily on salad...Metagenics whey worked for me in the beginning, but my dairy problem just kept growing so no whey for me. To heal leaky gut I used GI Revive....Intesti-New is a less potent form of GI Re. My hair all grew back...skin is better...rashes are no existent as long as I stay away from all dairy.
