If it is, then it's the greatest supplement. One of them, at least. > > I wonder if anyone had similar experience... > Take care > We have also had an amazing experience in the past 2-3 months, partly due to CLO/flax oil. Another possibility is our removing sugar from ds's diet last month... Anyway, our son has had a recurrent cough type asthma basically his whole life (you know the recurrent infection story, started out as bronchitis at 6 mos on, turned into asthma). It was partly exercise induced, but also appeared to be triggered by some allergens. He became exceptionally bad all last year and had to be put on advair plus bunches of albuterol inhalers before going out for recess, had 5 attacks in the month of May and finally had to have oral steriod prednisone (sp?). I might add that I let the doctor talk me into a flu shot before all of this, and our ds had to have his meds upped shortly thereafter. Fastforward story to 3-4 months ago, we started giving CLO/flax oil as part of our biomed efforts to recover him from SID (some aspie traits too). I read a research paper posted by Theresa Binstock around this time about fish oil reducing exercise induced asthma attacks, and thought it was interesting because we had not had one exercise induced attack since starting the oil in force, and this was not normal for us. We were still using Advair at the time, but were able to drop the albuterol completely. Then about a month ago I ran out of advair I had brought with me from the states (we had moved back to Eastern Europe 7 months previous to all of this and brought meds with us). Instead of going immediately to the doctor here to get more advair type medicine, I decided to wait and see what would happen. Miraculously, ds has been riding his bike outside in the still cold weather, without attack. He ran 5 laps this week high speed in gym class, no attack. This has never happened before..he could never go outside and even walk, especially when it's cold out, without having albuterol first to prevent that night time cough. I know that changing continents (environments)could have something to do with this, but even though his worst asthma year ever was in the USA, he still was never able to do any exercise here in Europe before, especially in the cold weather, without meds. One other change that might be helping is that this last month we have been going after gut issues, and have therefore eliminated sugar from his diet, as well as doing all 3 houston enzymes every meal. Could this be healing leaky gut which is eliminating allergens in his bloodstream???? But really, I feel like most of this has to do with adding the efa's in force, considering what this research paper had to say on omega 3's and their anti inflamintory effects (if I remember correctly). So, we are very thankful and feeling like we have a miracle. This has never happened in this life, to exercise like this and not have an attack.. God bless CLO and biomed!
