Hi all,

Happy New Year. It's been a long while since I posted here. I was

wondering where to obtain Andy Cutler's protocol. I know he wrote a book a few

years

back, is that it or is there an updated version somewhere?

Also my son who has been doing td-dmps for 18 months and had his first IV of

EDTA and DMPS a few weeks ago has been having a ton of behavioral issues.

They first began prior to the iv's and have only intensified since then. He's

almost 12 years old now and has doubled his weight in the past year for no

real obvious reason. He's now almost 150 lbs I can't believe it and get no

real answers as to why other than it may be the depakene (which he's been on

since 2002). He's gotten to the weight where I'm having a hard time

controlling him when he does tantrum. He's been head banging dents in the

walls,

kicking spitting, hitting, throwing objects/destroying things, screeching (even

though he can speak), using lots of force when he grabs you, attacking

siblings, teachers, other students etc. He can seem perfectly fine one moment

and

attacks the next. I really need some help and don't know where to turn. His

doctor states that these behaviors are a sign of the metals mobilizing and a

good thing. Well it's not going to be so good if he gets kicked out of his

class or harms someone including himself or if his father or I have a

breakdown.

Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated

Thanks

First step is to make sure that no one ever gives him any more EDTA

and DMPS IVs, and no more TD-DMPS every 48 h.

There are lots of pages in Andy's Amalgam Illness book that would

help. When you get the book, I can direct you to which pages.

The weight gain indicates stress. Anything that will reduce stress

and take a load off of the adrenals will help. Frequent meals and

snacks with protein at every meal and snack. Reduce or eliminate

sugar, so that the blood sugar doesn't go to extreme highs and lows.

Lots of B vitamins and lots of vitamin C and other antioxidants.

Others may be able to think of other things.

I know some swear by the td-dmps but it was a disaster for our teen.

It was recommended every other day but even at a few drops, our

daughter just lost it. She sometimes is my little guide. Although

she could not tell me the symptoms that so bothered her she voiced

much objection to the td-dmps. She ended up throwing the whole batch

in the garbage after ony a few doses. By the time I went looking, it

was long gone to the land fill. The IV would definitely scare me!!

Better to just go low and slow. He sounds like he may be in quite a

bit of pain. fwiw, in the past year, I finally got all the mercury

removed from my mouth and began chelation. I tried the same dose

that I'd been giving my daughter since we're about the same weight.

I felt REALLY awful!!! and disgusted that I'd used this amount on my

child. [50mg dmsa and 50 mg ala for 120#].

Is the depakene for seizures? Our daughter was prescribed depakote

sprinkles for seizures after being on tegretol for a couple of

years. Neither of these meds did any good for seizure control. The

depakote actually seemed to provoke seizures; one would occur like

clockwork 1-1.5 hours after dosing. Needless to say, we didn't keep

that one going long! It was definitely doing something bad in her

head. Do you think that the weight gain might be related to low

thyroid function? Our daughter had weight gain beyond normal in

early teens, low temp, low energy, etc. It tool a long while before

her lab values confirmed the low thyroid. Can you do a hair test to

try to define toxicity?

Are you trying dietary interventions? Some foods send our daughter

to extreme behaviors. Peanut, chocolate[even milk free], soy and

high phenols[banana and apples, which she loves!] get her to what I

call 'pre-seizure state' - one where you just can't reason about

anything, aggressive, verbally abusive, etc. Dairy and gluten still

provoke seizures for her. NONE of these foods test high on the IgG

panel or any other 'allergy' testing we've done. Energy work has had

a very calming effect for our daughter. It's one intervention that

she'll actually ask for - that and a deep, hard back rub. We do them

often. I'm sorry for your distress. B.

While I am sorry I cannot help you, because I don't know anything about TD-DMPS

or EDTA

and how these would affect someone, I cannot help but comment on the doctor's

comments...

I would suggest you to change the doctor fast. I don't think you have to be a

doctor to

realize that these are not good signs. Anybody with a little common sense can

tell you

this.
