Chelating the kids and myself with DSMA every 4 hours, and we're on round 3.

Well, last week it was my 7 yo who vomited. We stopped the round for her.

Last night it was my 9 yo who complained of a stomach ache and then threw up

several

times. I've been up since 4 am, and I'm exhausted! I stopped the round for

her.

I'm still not positive it's the DMSA, or coincidentally a stomach virus, or

something else.

My 9 yo had no complaints last round. My 7 yo is doing well, so far, this

round.

Both kids are ~76# and are taking 12.5 mg of DMSA.

I'm thinking about adding in ALA in our next round, after the holidays.

Although we have

tried to be very careful, the kids may have been exposed to lead during our

renovations,

so I'd like to keep DMSA, either every round or every few rounds.

If we add in ALA along with DMSA on our next round, I'd be giving 12.5 mg ALA in

addition to 12.5 mg of DMSA per dose? And I'd be giving both of those every 3

hours, not

every 4?

Or, if I suspect the kids are not tolerating the DMSA well, will adding in ALA

help in many

cases, or would it be better to do DMSA every 4th round (or something along

those lines).

Since I cannot take ALA until February due to recent amalgam removal, I can take

my 25

mg of DMSA every 3 hours (along with the kids taking ALA)? Shorter is okay.

Just want to run that by,

in Illinois
