Our daughter responds with seizures to many oral foods, supps included. Sometimes if no seizures come, we get a `pre-seizure' behavior that is nasty, impulsive, aggressive, volatile, giddy, out of touch, sometimes with ataxia/sometimes not. Lethicin[soy] does this GABA, Taurine, Inositol,valarian produce seizures Eve Prim Oil she can only tolerate topically-orally will result in seizures Olive Leaf Extract[isn't this a high phenol?], any plant based enzyme [?zym-prime], no-phenol all resulted in the nasty behavior. Any choline, but esp the bitartrate form gets her to nasty behavior and sometimes seizures There are a couple of aspartate forms in the Twin Lab prep that would send her to nasty heaven. We also have tried amino formulas based on testing; same results with nasty behavior I'm not familiar with the Kirkm's probiotic but dairy free is mandated here if we want to avoid seizures. You may want to begin at ground zero again. Based on our experience I would be very careful with combination products. Guest guest Posted February 28, 2006 Report Share Posted February 28, 2006 I was wondering if you could tell me what the difference is between alpha lipoic acid and r-lipoic acid....I have been reading where it is now stablized....but had read earlier that it was bad news.... Also is beta glucan as good as I am hearing....i hear that it stimulates the natural killer cells...which would be great for our virus issues...but is there a down side... I was also wondering about hyaluric acid....if it is safe. My kids are very dry and are taking quite a few EFA's but still are so dry... so was thinking this might help.... The other thing we were hearing about was a new form of coQ10 supposed to be crystal free and more readily absorbed...have not checked prices on these things...just hearing about them from folks...and was wondering if you had heard anything... I am sorry to bother you...but I am trying to be safe and do the best with my family...and these sound good and if they are....I will try to find a way to get them for us....but if they will do harm..then I need to stay away..and so since what I am reading has no conclusion...am hearing both sides....so I needed to ask. The only 2.5 gpm filter I know of that has both KDF and carbon is the Aquasana: http://www.wellnessshower.com/Comparisons.aspx When you order from Aquasana, you can even specify whether your water supply is treated with chlorine or cloramines, and they send you the appropriate filter.
