Guest guest
Pam: I love reading your posts and have been following them. I am thrilled to hear your recent happy moment...I can tell you that we experienced a very similar moment with our son. If I recall...you are using TD-DMSA? We have our TD-ALA in our fridge, I dont know exactly when we should start. Are you using TD-ALA or oral ala? Just curious. Keep going Pam....it can only get better! I only wish I got the chance to meet all the wonderful people on these boards! Kim > > Good evening. > > I was feeling pretty discouraged about our 12 rounds of chelation > today. Guest guest
Kim, We are using oral ALA. I have been a little skeptical of transdermal (just how much is getting where it needs to go?)DMSA and transdermals in general. My son hates the taste of ALA. I am working to find a night time food to hide it in. Liquid and whipped cream don't cut it! Saying that, I'm VERY tempted to try TD-ALA. I like the fact that oral ALA is available everywhere and for less $$$. Thanks for the kind words. I would also love to meet all the other parents here. I've had the pleasure to meet a few at conferences and over the phone. Pam > > > > Good evening. > > > > I was feeling pretty discouraged about our 12 rounds of chelation > > today. Guest guest
I put the ALA in honey I get local, yummy stuff! My son doesn't seem to mind it since it is so sweet. They don't get much for sweet stuff. I just use about half a teaspoon. noaholiviaian <phaselow@...> wrote: Kim, My son hates the taste of ALA. I am working to find a night time food to hide it in. Try apple sauce with ALA in one of those really small capsules. My son can take pills, but during the night I don't want him to wake up anymore, so I put his dose of ALA in those really small capsules and I give it to him with apple sauce. It works. He just swallows and doesn't even wake up. Sometimes he asks for more Valentina
