What can we do in the meantime?

It looks like it is going to be a while before our appointment with the

doctor for a full evaluation happens. In the meantime, he (Asperger's) is

giving

the school a hard time with hitting and running away when things don't go

exactly like he wants (8 years old and in second grade). The school

psychologist wants us to put him on meds but the doctor we are planning to see

(a

well-respected autism expert) says no to meds.

He is having GI issues again also, which are minor in comparison to his

outbursts. He is not on a GFCF diet but is on some supplements. He is also

chewing on things again.

Any suggestions as to what to do in the meantime?
