Yeah, my understanding is that (especially at the high doses used in cardiac patients) propranolol can really leave you feeling wrung out like a wet rag. The single small 20mg propranolol dose in this case appeared to have no such downside. Good anxiety relief (pt. noted strongly increased anxiety when she went off the med prior to surgery). There are many open questions still about this small experiment we ran. Question: does oral propranolol really exert a useful antitumor and antimetastasis effect? Cannot say for sure with this single case. Though other studies do suggest that it should do that. Question: if propranolol does have some effect, would larger doses be better? Again unknown. Studies have used larger doses. Question: if larger doses of propranolol were used, would that possibly interfere with the mechanisms of LDN therapy, or vice versa?
