I think this is the first time I've ever had a clue what was going on.

Thanks, Valentina!

Well, in short, there are toxins that enter our bodies, or toxic substances

that our own body manufactures, that are fat soluble and difficult to take out

safely. The liver transforms these fat soluble very dangerous toxins into

water soluble toxins which we can eliminate safely in urine or bile.

The liver accomplishes this in one or two phases. Different enzymes attach

different substances to these toxins in order to transform them into

substances that can be transported out safely. The problem comes from the fact

that some of these toxins that come from the first phase (on their way to

phase II to be " annihilated " ) are sometimes even more toxic and reactive than

the original substance. If your liver works OK, that is not a problem. If this

second phase is slow, or if your phase I is too fast, these toxins accumulate

and even travel in the blood and... organs, etc.

I am not sure how clear this is. If you don't understand, please let me know.

There are different foods/supplements/activities that stimulate the two

phases. Depending on what your problem is, you can learn what you should stay

away from :)
