Guest guest
Andy, Our son has been on Dr Buttar's 2 month EDTA and DMPS protocol which involves giving EDTA and DMPS IV's every 2 weeks, combined with GSH and mineral and ozone recommended. We have done 2 months protocol and we have to start the next round. We are skeptical of the efficacy of the protocol, so we want your advice We and many other parents who are following this protocol would be grateful if you could answer the following: 1) how to integrate EDTA into the 3 day on/4 day off protocol especially if lead has showed up in challenge urine and fecal test results? Can we give EDTA on the off days for TD DMPS? 2) If mercury shows up in the yellow range of the challenge tests, does this mean that there is more mercury to come? 3) If someone is on TD DMPS (and/or EDTA), what tests (whether RBC, urine essential mineral) would you consider for checking and adjusting the mineral status? Our feeling is that this is not being done correctly at Buttar's office. We are nervous about minerals 4) Is IV more effective than TD or oral assuming you are using the same amount of chelator? Our son pulled mercury based on the IV challenge test and not through TD challenge. We would be grateful for your advice. Ann J
