Why is mB12 needed if blood levels of B12 are high?

Oh, God. Here I am again; trying to explain the need for a biomedical

intervention.

Ian's blood levels of B12 and Folate are high (outside of given

reference range). My MD husband does not understand why Ian would

benefit from mB12 injections if his B12 levels are high... why

sticking more B12 in to his bloodstream would make a difference?

Can someone point me to a link or offer a nice, professional

explanation that explains this need?

I appreciate it. I'm in tears... frustrated as Hell with doctors.
