I just heard my best friend's 13 yo daughter made a suicide attempt

and has been dx'd " depressive " . (duh.) Having seen the girl as a baby

and subsequently I'm pretty confident she is Hg-poisoned. Only dx'd

with CAPD as far as I know.

So far my friend has been resistant to the entire mercury idea, but

when I see her I want to be able to offer some help beyond urging her

to get a hair test, etc. Are there any supps that help quickly? Any

supps to avoid at all costs? Any prescription meds I should discourage

or encourage?

Thank you. I'll give her a copy of " Amalgam Illness " and hope.

And how is your book for kids coming :)?

Strongly discourage use of the SSRI Luvox. Encourage a different one,

Zoloft and Lexapro seem to be OK for most people, but not all.

If she is chemically sensitive expect problems.

Inositol, tryptophan and 5 hydroxytryptophan help if SSRI's do. They

lack the side effects.

Post further questions if she is being given valium like medicines or

mood stabilizing medications or non SSRI antidepressants.
