Well... I can't blame you... I don't think anybody truly understands about

neurotransmitters and how they really work. Even doctors and specialists...

if they knew so much about these things, they wouldn't prescribe MAOA and B

inhibitors and Serotonin reuptake inhibitors and who knows... all those other

drugs, to everybody that steps in their offices, even to 3-4 year olds....

I myself don't understand much, but I happened to read that low serotonin

might make one very aggressive.

Serotonin is an inhibitory neurotransmitter. It's meant to inhibit fear and

aggression, etc. We all have moments when we feel like exploding. But then if

you're low serotonin apparently it's easier to act on your feelings.

Something like that... I am sorry I cannot help you more, but I don't

understand more. It is very complicated... Sometimes, even if you have enough

Serotonin, it is reuptaken too fast (or something like that) or broken down

too fast, and your body still feels a need for more...

There is also a connection with the Dopamine (and noradrenaline and

adrenaline).

If it was my son, and I would suspect low Serotonin, I would maybe try some

supplements... like 5HTP for example and B3 maybe. How is he sleeping? What

other symptoms does he have? Is he also depressed, is he eating well, is he

learning well... etc. Does he have yeast overgrowth maybe? Did you start a

new supplement recently? (my son became very aggressive when I gave him B6.

Also, when we took Nystatin, we both became easily aggressive)
