Guest guest
I was talking chelation supplements today with some friends, and now my brain is tired and I'm confused. My 2 NT girls and I are taking the Carotenoid Complex from Vitamin Shoppe. It says Vitamin A as beta-carotene, 5000 IU. I am also adding some extra Dry Vitamin A from Vitamin Shoppe to get up to 500% RDA (25,000 IU) for me, and 300% (15,000 IU) RDA for the kids. The Dry Vitamin A bottle says 50% acetate and 50% beta-carotene. One friend mentioned that taking Vitamin A in acetate form was important. Why? We have also been taking flax seed oil, inconsistently. My youngest dd was not tolerating Nordic Naturals Omega-3 previously, so we stopped. The plan is to try to introduce some EFAs again, in the form of Nordic Naturals Omega-3 pills or NN CLO (liquid). My bottle of NN Omega-3 doesn't say anything about Vitamin A content, only Omega-3 fatty acids, 700 mg (EPA 360 mg, DHA 240 mg). The supplement file here says to take into consideration the amount of Vitamin A in CLO. Confused, in Illinois
