Guest guest
Yes, you can see great things immediately with a chelator. However, logic would dictate that the progress is not necessarily due to the excretion of metals, but rather the glutathione precursors in the td dmps drops. Doesn't mean he/she won't excrete any metals, but progress this early means he/she really needed what was in the mix. A fair number of kids get this reaction to td-dmps, as did we. Make sure you are dosing the td-dmps every 8 hours, minimum. The every other day dosing of td-dmps is meant to cause redistribution to the brain, per Buttar, and can start out well, but end up causing problems in the long run. You don't get this problem with the every 8 hour dosing. Good luck, [ ] Question - 1st round Hi Everyone - We just completed our first round of TD-DMPS. Wow, we are seeing great things. The first day was slightly rough but the next day we did a 45 minute epson salt bath and when he came out of the bath I was getting great eye contact and boy has his languange escalated! He is trying to use complete sentences and is asking 'what is this?' with everything all the while looking right in my face! Of course, me and my husband are skeptical and think maybe this is just a coincidence. Has anyone else seen this type of response or am I jumping the gun? Guest guest
, I did the every other day protocol for 1 year followed by the 3/4 protocol for 3 months. I have found that my son does much better with the every other day protocol. [ ] Question - 1st round Hi Everyone - We just completed our first round of TD-DMPS. Wow, we are seeing great things. Guest guest
Yes, many are finding the 3/4 protocol difficult if they have started with the every other day protocol and continued with it for a long period of time. I only have a theory as to why this would be, nothing proven. If just starting, IMO, use the 3/4 protocol, as many have found a prolonged stall on the every other day protocol after awhile that eventually solves itself on the 3/4 protocol. Guest guest
- Thank you so much. We are on our second day off and starting to see regression. He is becoming very stimmy and today did not want to go to school. He was buckling his legs and falling to the ground. Such a change from over the weekend when he was so 'right on'. Any suggestions? In the adult groups we find that people often start at a dose of chelator that is too high for their circumstances and have better results when the dose is lowered. If the every other day protocol was TD- DMPS, and the 3/4 protocol is some combination of DMPS or DMSA plus ALA, I would suspect that the dose of ALA might be too high. I expect that people who have used an every other day protocol for some time will find that they are only able to use very low doses of ALA to start because of the redistribution that happened on the every other day protocol. I have been collecting posts about " dose timing " . Generally this means posts where people have actually used BOTH " frequent " and " infrequent " dose timing. I don't have a whole lot, it is extremely slow work, made even slower by the fact that I no longer read all the posts here all the time. Anyway, I especially need examples of kids (or adults) who have done better on INFREQUENT dosing, which I believe is what you just said happened with your child. So, could I trouble you to please reply and tell a bit more information? 1. specify dosing schedule --- you said 3/4 -- please spell out what chelation agent, how often, how many days, etc. Also dose please. 2. also dose and timing for the every other day. 3. finally any details regarding " much better " would be very helpful. Thanks for any information you are willing to provide. Moria http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/
Guest guest
I was doing the TD-DMPS every other day 36 drops then switched to a 3/4 protocol of TD-dmps only (12 drops every 8 hours of DMPS only - nothing else). I tried this for 3 months - my son did not really have any regression in abilities, but was just less " happy " and just didn't seem himself. He was whiny and clingy adn teary. I recently went back to the every other day about a week ago and his mood seems to be coming back. Guest guest
Moria, Around mid-November I noticed that my son started having poor mood. Started having crying spells, whiny, clingy, didn't like school anymore, less compliant. We didn't really have regression in skills. Eye contact and verbal remained intact. Social has always been on the low side and remains there. I used my detective skills to try to figure out what changed and the only thing I could come up with is that I changed from the every other day to the 3/4 protocol. I had tried this change as we had hit the " plateau " and a lot of people said that they had seen a jump in growth when they switched to this protocol. So from mid-November to Mid-January we did 3/4 -TD-DMPS only 36 drops (divided by 3 doses) so 12 drops per dose every 8 hours for 3 day on then 4 days off. Vitamins and minerals on all days. I did not see any gains or growth. Just the decline and moddiness noted above. We've only been back to the infrequent dosing a week. - so the mood improvement could be a fluke??? I will keep you posted though. Sawyer [ ] Re: Marley/was:Question - 1st round > > , > > I did the every other day protocol for 1 year followed by the 3/4 protocol for 3 months.
