Guest guest
Jan, Thanks for your answer. I agree with you, that the goofiness and being distractible could be a stage when his senses are becoming clearer and all of this world may be just a bit overwhelming to him... After a lot of thinking I decided to take my son off Yeast Aid because I wanted to see the difference (tackling yeast only vs. the viral ones as well with Yeast Aid). I took him off 2 days ago. Since then, he has been up for 1-3 hrs every night. I am still seeing a lot of gains socially, in communication and academically in general but the sleep is distrubed. Some may think he has more yeasty behaviors again (I am still not certain what is what behavior for my son...), being moderately stimmy ansd stacking, laughing unreasonably (well, he is pushing his coins and than he laughs as he is watching them fall a lot), and he has been very sensory seeking as well (squeezing his feet under my body, sitting on my head which is insane...but these behaviors are not new, and I am not even sure that they are more intense than they were on the Yeast Aid.) I guess the increase in waking is new, and laughing a bit out of control is new. My new yeast protocol is culturelle 2-3 times a day and an 8-strain probitic 2-3 times a day. I also started adding Grapefruit Seed Extract two days ago (after I stopped Yeast Aid), gradually, now we are at 4 drops 2 times a day (80 mg in total). Can anyone halp me out with the dosage for a 4 year old? Is this sufficient? How would I know if it is? What to look out for? How long can I use/should I use Grapfruit Seed Extract? Long term? When would I know that I needed to add another thing? I'd like to re-start chelation again with ALA. Could I start before all is settled with yeast, and will it settle if I don't remove the metals? Likely not. So when is it a good time to re-start? Can anyone help me out with these issues? I'd appreciate it very much! Thanks, Jan <queenvavee@...> wrote: Just a thought but the distractive and such might be just because he has more cleaer senses, and thinking going on. This can be a bit overwelming at first. I did notice the Yeast aid did weird things to my sleep. I slept deeper but had weird dreams that were lifelike. I was more alert in the morning. No earaches, but I have only been on it a few days. The strangest things though is a wart I cannot get rid of despite tons of freezing at the dermatolgist, it has been there for 8 years. The doc is stumped! Anyway, no matter what medicine I used on it, nothing happends. About two days into the yeast aid, it is so sore and red! I do hope this stuff is killing it!! WE did come down with a whopping cold starting probiotics. I have actually not gotten sick yet. I did have a strange aching in my kidney the first day. Some strange sensations in my stomach, and a back ache. Who knows! But if ever there was a " get all " product this would be it. Your son being mischiefous and such may be his real personality comming out. I know my son is not on yeast aid yet, we are getting spectrum and probiotics only right now, but since all that he has a sense of humor I didn't know about. And he likes to make jokes and play tricks, he is silly now. The way a three year old should be. It is hard to get used to things like that because we don't really know who they are under all the illness. I will keep posted on the yeast aid. > We have yeast aid now. This can be yeast overgrowth, or viruses coming back, or both. > My new yeast protocol is culturelle 2-3 times a day and an 8-strain probitic 2-3 times a day. Guest guest
--I am not sure on the dosage for GSE. I do know that you may never have the yeast fully under control while he still has metals. I can tell you that I have notices the yeast aid cured me of years of night wakings in a few days. I have no idea why, but I sleep better. And I wake up more alert. Not good as new, or good as I used to be, but just a slight difference. I am not sure if I will use it on my kids or not. Maybe my daughter for warts. But the flavor is obnoxious, so I know my son will never take it. I know that my son has gotten silly, and just a different little guy since I started him on spectrum and probiotics. Maybe with your new yeast/viral protocol you will see the sleep and laughing calm down again. If it kicked up after stopping yeast aid, then something is growing or firing up again (yeast, or some virus). God bless you for your patience...your son sitting on your head! Mine has not done that! He does like to ram into me while walking by though. He used to bonk into us when passing by, like pinball! That has stopped now unless he gets really overdone. My 10 year old daughter has had trouble going to sleep probably since she was born. It never really went away. Every one said she was a night owl! Yet, I could see her eyes were red, but she could not sleep. I gave her melatonin, and within an hour she was alseep at 9pm for the first time since she was a toddler. She woke at 8am and was happy. Usually, she is a bear! I can't beleive how easy that was..wish I had known years ago. Let me know how the culterelle works out! - In , aedape4 <aedape4@...> wrote: > > Jan, > > Thanks for your answer.
