Guest guest
> Today was our first day using TTFD. Well, stop it. The stuff is poison, and the amounts used are high enough that it really does cause problems for a lot of kids. Try benfotiamine instead. Several times a day, by mouth. Guest guest
Poison?? Then why does Dr. Jaquelyn McCandless recommend Authia? http://www.autism-rxguidebook.net/uploads/Article%20for%20Medical% 20Veritas.pdf In fact when I google TTFD and autism I don't get any hits regarding poison or toxicity. Nothing but positve responses actually > > > Today was our first day using TTFD. > > Well, stop it. Guest guest
Oh this if friggin' great! Seems what works is what " camp " we align ourselves with; Buttar, Usman, Cutler, Candless, etc. Can't you say these negative things about any of the chelation\ biomed stuff parents do? I'm not saying you or anyone else is right or wrong its just very disheartning. > > > > > > > Today was our first day using TTFD. > > > > > > Well, stop it. Can't you say > these negative things about any of the chelation\ biomed stuff > parents do? No, I don't think so. Not every supp or chelator is right for every kid, but some treatments/protocols are dangerous for a large percentage which is quite a different thing. What works does so regardless of anyone's opinion. People who make their decisions by whetting their finger, putting it in the air and seeing which way the political wind from DAN! is blowing have no real hope of getting their child well. To get them well requires taking responsibility to figure stuff out - there is no alternative. The important questions about any intervention are: what are the benefits, what are the risks, what are the risks and benefits of other interventions directed at the same goal. Generally benefits are grossly overstated, risks minimized, and other means ignored. The most valuable thing I can tell anyone is risks and an alternatvie, such as that TTFD seems to make 20-30% of children horribly worse (and it can be very long lasting) while benfotiamine has a very similar action but doesn't have this risk. This allows people who wish to engage in reasoned analysis to make good decisions. It would be really nice if doctors had their acts together and could take the responsibility off your shoulders, but that is not how things are at present and it is unlikely to get better in the forseeable future. I am sorry to be so harsh and blunt about this, but for your child's sake you really do have to accept it and take on the responsibility to gather accurate information from mutually contradictory sources and make a good decision. Guest guest
Andy has said it best. One can not expect the doctor treating your child to make the appropriate decisions for you. As the person that has to pick up the pieces and deal with it, it is the parent/caregivers responsibility to investigate EVERY item that goes into the childs mouth. That also goes for all medical interventions not only chelation. Been in medical profession nearly 20 years, and you would be horrified if I told you a 1/4 of the errors I saw being made. You do have to look at the politics/ego of it also, and do what makes sense. > > > > Oh this if friggin' great!
