Guest guest
Dear listmates Lately I've read a number of distressing posts on A-M and other lists about results parents have had using an 8 hour protocol for DMSA. I know a family that is seeing a big-time DAN! doc. They have spent a ton of money on prescription meds, phone consults, and a LONG flight to the doctor's office, with no huge results so far. They also ask me for advice (which is seldom taken, I guess because I'm not charging enough:-)). However, they are soon about to begin chelation and I am feeling scared. Their little one is barely 30 lbs at 4 years of age, and quite frail. They have been prescribed 100mg of DMSA to be given four times a day. They were supposed to end their chelation round with a 400 mg DMSA challenge, which thankfully they have decided not to do. I have kept them up to date on our progress using the Cutler protocol. They know that we have been chelating safely and with great results so far, and I have done my best to show them the benefits of this protocol and warn them of the risks of 8 hour dosing, providing links to this site and other relevant information. Actually, short of picketing their house I'm not sure what else I can do, I'm beginning to feel like Chicken Little. So, I'm desperately hoping that I'm wrong on this one and that everything goes fine. But if anyone has any other suggestions on something I could do I'd be happy to hear them. I guess it's none of my business. René
