Maybe I'm not giving her enough. Maybe there's something else that might help. Thanks . J > in Illinois >
Guest guest
Here is a description of how lysine works on certain viruses (including cold sores) from something I was working on last week: http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionviruses.htm#11 . Guest guest
, when I used to Onisbasu to look up lysine and cold sores on A-M, I noticed some people were taking OLE in conjunction with lysine. I checked my notes and I gave my 79# dd 1000 mg lysine, 2x/day, to knock back the cold sores. She doesn't take it regularly, only when we notice an outbreak, and we're still experimenting with the dosage. As far as general immune support, would something like Sambucol be good?? And lots of Vitamin C? I hope she feels better soon, in Illinois

Guest guest
I think I have mentioned it before, but a single $40 N.A.E.T. treatment for herpes will generally keep you from ever getting another cold sore. williamzubypa.com does them here in the Tampa area, but it should be easy to find a certified naet practitioner in your area with a quick internet search. The treatments are vibrational and take about 25-30 minutes. I know they are different from cold sores, but I'd bet there is a homeopathic remedy for this. I think anti-virals would be a good bet, too. Maybe just plain immune support like echinacea, astragalus, and others. --
Guest guest
Along with taking lysine it helps to limit high arginine foods. Topically applied vitamin E (careful some is from wheat germ) or tea tree oil helps. Guest guest
I know I just posted this, but I thought I would emphasize it a little more. I'm not sure exactly why they work, but I personally know at least 20 people that have had NAET treatments for herpes. Before the treatment many of them got cold sores every month, took lysine, larch, homeopathics, zovirax, limited nuts and arginine foods, put dmso on, vinegar, vitamin e, honey, etc, etc. Some of them got terrible sores all over their lips and mouths. They hid from their friends for days or weeks until they healed up, only to get another one weeks later. None of them to my knowledge have ever had another cold sore starting 24 hours after having a single NAET treatment. Most not even a tingle, and only one friend that know gets tingles sometimes, but they go away instead of breaking out. She even told me recently it was amazing she hadn't had an outbreak in the two years since she had the treatment. Given that a NAET cost about $40 and should be a one time thing, anyone with the problem might really want to look into it. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for your reply. Trouble is, we don't have NAET where I live.
