Consider removing sources of current exposures

Adding this was very beneficial for my son.

Identify and reduce/remove sources of exposure to the following. Antimony is

flame retardant used in mattresses (to get a chemical-free one in the US you

have to get a prescription), bedding, sleepwear, carseats, strollers,

upholstered furniture, etc and sometimes as solder for water pipes. Bismuth is

in Pepto-Bismol, some make-up and some diaper rash creams. Check

www.danasview.net for a more thorough list of sources of exposure. S S

How much is the dose of selenium for a 45lb 3 year old. And also

Dana do you think it would still be beneficial to chelate him even

though his mineral transport was normal?

If your question is whether you should chelate with chelators intended for

mercury, arsenic, or lead, I would say consider chelating with chelator for

antimony after removing the sources of exposure. I used SAMe (be sure to

supplement with B vitamins to keep homocysteine in check), though some on this

list disagree as to whether it works for this. I would remove sources of

exposure to the others and possibly try a trial of ALA. If you are already

chelating I would base the decision of whether to continue on whether you are

seeing improvements or side effects or a combination.

I would start at 50mcg and after a week or so, increase to 100mcg.

I would give it maybe 5 rounds of ALA, see if you notice anything.

Especially if you notice he has food or yeast issues, then chelation

is probably a good thing.
