Guest guest
Identify and reduce/remove sources of exposure to the following. Antimony is flame retardant used in mattresses (to get a chemical-free one in the US you have to get a prescription), bedding, sleepwear, carseats, strollers, upholstered furniture, etc and sometimes as solder for water pipes. Bismuth is in Pepto-Bismol, some make-up and some diaper rash creams. Check www.danasview.net for a more thorough list of sources of exposure. And also Dana do you think it would still be beneficial to chelate him even though his mineral transport was normal? >
Guest guest
If your question is whether you should chelate with chelators intended for mercury, arsenic, or lead, I would say consider chelating with chelator for antimony after removing the sources of exposure. I used SAMe (be sure to supplement with B vitamins to keep homocysteine in check), though some on this list disagree as to whether it works for this. I would remove sources of exposure to the others and possibly try a trial of ALA. If you are already chelating I would base the decision of whether to continue on whether you are seeing improvements or side effects or a combination. I would start at 50mcg and after a week or so, increase to 100mcg. >>And also > Dana do you think it would still be beneficial to chelate him even > though his mineral transport was normal? I would give it maybe 5 rounds of ALA, see if you notice anything. Especially if you notice he has food or yeast issues, then chelation is probably a good thing.
