Guest guest
That wasn't me. I'm thinking about using antivirals, but trying to figure out just which one to use to get motor planning & motor skills gains. Guest guest
Done EFAs. Done B12. Done martial arts & other sports. This is the problem. It is coming to the point where he is going to be too far behind the other kids his age, 10, to play organized sports. I am looking for something to close the gap, & am interested in success stories. I was reading that EFAs could also help. And of course, eliminate trans fatty acids completely if you want EFAs to be really effective. B12 and the other B vitamins could help. I don't know how old your kid is but maybe martial arts (and probably other sports too) might help in this area also.

Guest guest
Chelation, off & on for years (5 -6). DMSA, added ALA, then just ALA. Have tried sulfur booting supplements (NAC, taurine) & GSH. I couldn't see a difference. Re: [ ] Re: DMSA dosing / Virastop > Done EFAs. Done B12. Done martial arts & other sports. Guest guest
He was very young, 4, when we tried it. The teachers would not give him proper attention, or touch him to show him what he needed to do. They just went on w/ the class, & promoted him w/ the others. (they were very interested in making money). I'm thinking our problems stemmed from the " brand " of taekwondo we used. It was ATA. We had many other problems from them, too. So maybe it might work for you if you really checked into the school 1st. My son pretty much refuses traditional therapies, such as PT & OT. Therapists can't motivate him, & I don't really blame him. Nobody is gonna have a contest at school to see who can do the best crab crawl, or put the shapes back in the holes. We allowed him to chose between sports & therapy. He chose sports. He tends to be heavy, & he has to do something. Because he has unusual size (at 10, 5'8 " & 170 lbs), coaches tend to overlook his deficits right now. We are coming to the age where the coaches will be more interested in performance, hence my interest in trying to find help w/ doing something different, such as looking into anti-virals, or the immmune system, since I think we've done just about everything else. My 10yr old son also has motor planning and gross/fine motor skills delays. He's been too far bheind the other kids his age to play organized sports for quite some time. Some things we've done that helped a little (but not enough) are physical therapy and theraputic listening. I was considering trying martial arts and am interesting in hearing about your son's experience with it. Thanks. =======================================================
Guest guest
Thanks so much for all the ideas offered. We have already tried chelation, supplements, diets (for about 6 yrs). I'm ready to move on. That's why we're looking into areas we haven't explored yet - immune system, antivirals. [ ] Re: DMSA dosing / Virastop > I'm also interested in success stories. There have been good stories posted here about creatine for fine motor skills. Guest guest
i too have bought virastop but havent used it. my son (8 1/2 yrs, 80 lbs) is on td dmps every other day schedule. my DAN doc wants to use valtrex due to results of immune panel (major viral issues). does anyone know if you can use valtrex and virastop together? i am also on the mb12/valtrex list group and will ask them too. i know virastop is an enzyme and valtrex isnt. vicki ratlenhum@... wrote: In a message dated 1/10/2006 10:43:19 PM Eastern Standard Time, susanb@... writes: Virastop did amazing stuff for my son.
