Guest guest
Barb, Creatine was very important supp we gave my son who also lacked that smoothness of movement. Had poor grading when pouring liquids, overshooting it, or under. We used 3 grams of creatine for about 6 months and it was great for motor coordination, muscle strength, fine motor(handwriting, scissor use etc) Add low and slow, can produce loose stool if added too fast. My son took 3 grams, he was 45 pounds, but my 15 year old 115 pound daughter was also prescribed same amount and she too benefitted from it as well.Hope this helps. colleen > > Hey all, > This is something I've thought about for over a year, but don't know enough > about to really decide. Guest guest
Creatine is pretty benign, inexpensive, and available from low cost vendors like NOW foods (orange labels on white plastic bottles, in health food stores) and may others. The powder has little taste and is slightly gritty, one can eat it off a spoon and wash it down with a liquid. It improves both brain and muscle function by levelling out mitochondrial workload to produce ATP. There is some good discussion of it in the context of neurological (though adult) issues on www.lef.org . His OT would love to know how to give him the " oomph " he's missing. I am using creatine to help with handwriting problems, as mentioned here a few weeks ago. So far, my #1 and I are having good results with it. Dana

He's worked up to 3 grams/day and had no reaction at all at any point. Nell

Guest guest
Hi: In using creatine, has anyone noticed aggressive behaviors with adding this. It seems that when I give my son creatine he seems to get a little aggressive. Any thoughts. It seems that when I give my son creatine he seems to get a little aggressive. Any thoughts. I gave 1/2 capsule to my #2 and #3. #2 got more aggressive, and #3 broke out in this nasty rash all over the side of his face and neck. #1 reported yesterday that he feels bumps under the skin of his chin, altho I don't see any but I felt it and it did feel like similar bumps as #3, so I am not increasing his dose for now and in fact today I am giving him a day off.
