Guest guest
Was the uranium elevated on a hair test? According to Andy Cutler's Hair Test Interpretation book, hair uranium less than .25 mcg/g is not significant. Above this level, you can reduce hair and body levels of uranium by taking an iron supplement. -- > > I've been reading a lot of the files & posts (I'm new here); I'm > thinking of going to ALA, per the protocol I've read, instead of the TD- > DMPS we've been using for 6 mo. now. Guest guest
Yes, his level was on a hair test (Great Smokies); it was .304. His bismuth was 16.403 (they had range .224). We've seen a lot of bismuth come out with the TD-DMPS (DData testing) but not much uranium (in the green zone). I appreciate everyone's help. Guest guest
Louise, I couldn't find any reference in Andy's books about chelating uranium specifically. There are some metals that fall naturally as we chelated the others like mercury, lead, etc. I do know that most people here would encourage you to switch to a frequent dose protocol, no matter what chelator you choose. I use DMSA/ALA because my son has lead as one of his problems. I am happy to use the ALA because I believe it crosses the BBB and because it is an amazing antioxidant--IMO our kids suffer greatly from oxidative stress. Best wishes, Anita > > I've been reading a lot of the files & posts (I'm new here); I'm > thinking of going to ALA, per the protocol I've read, instead of the TD- > DMPS we've been using for 6 mo. now. Guest guest
I began excreting uranium in my urine when I took oral DMSA (I also had uranium show up in my hair analysis). However, the uranium only began to be excreted at a higher level of DMSA. I started with 250mg of oral DMSA (no uranium was excreted) and then moved to 500 mg oral DMSA (uranium was excreted). No one is quite sure how I got uranium in my body. I would love to hear any suggestions from this group.
