Guest guest
Hi Janey Based on your description, I'm very sure that mercury is probably an issue for you. But most people on this list would also recommend that you get a hair test to confirm this (and to tell you lots of other information that would be helpful to know if you wish to chelate). The test you need is the Hair Element Profile from Doctor's Data Inc. It can be ordered through a health professional, though many people order it directly from Direct Labs -- I can't remember the exact web address offhand, though it's easy enough to find in the files. (If you do order it through them, make sure to mention that you are a member of Autism Mercury to get a discount.) It's important to get this specific test from DDI. When you get the results, you can either use Andy Cutler's book " Hair Test Interpretation " to learn how to read the results, or you can post your results on this list for help using a template in the files, or you can do both. The book is worth the price, IMO. In the meantime, it would be worthwhile to spend some quality time going through the FAQ's of this list and other files. There is lots and lots of really important information available here, and it will save you time (and maybe money and pain too) if you are well-grounded in the requirements to implement an effective and safe chelation protocol. There is a very good file on supplements for chelation. Much of the information is tailored to parents chelating children, though I believe most of it is applicable to adults chelating themselves, too. I'm sorry, but I don't know what " tmj " is, so I can't help you there. I'm sorry you're feeling worse again...think of how good you'll feel when heavy metal toxicity is finally behind you for good! take care, ask lots of questions René > > i've had my 9 amalgams out for a year and a half..felt horrible for > 5 months, started to feel better...now starting to feel sick again. > i don't know how to test if i have mercury poisioning. my symtoms are > rapid heartbeat, hives, nausea, nervousness & brain fog ~ oh yes and i > had yeast i've been battling with...i'm on a yeast free diet > now...taking AQUA FLORA a homeopathic drink. > > when i started feeling better, i really felt good. > > i was also given a splint for my tmj 2 months ago, that has a piece > of metal in it..could this have triggered something? > > i am scared to take anything..i just take my multi vitamins, > calcium, magnesium and vitamin D. > > please give me your advice & thoughts. > > thanx. > janey :-) >
Guest guest
thank you so much for your reply Rene. i did take a DDI hair test about 6 months ago..maybe i should take another one now to compare and post. is it typical to get symtoms on and off like this? if i do get ALA what's the best brand? thank you again...yes, i can't wait till this is all behind me janey
Guest guest
Why not post your old DDI hair test result on this forum? (or in one of the adult groups) Moria has a template for posting results here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_hair_test.html#how_to_post J > > thank you so much for your reply Rene. i did take a DDI hair test > about 6 months ago..maybe i should take another one now to compare and > post. > is it typical to get symtoms on and off like this? > if i do get ALA what's the best brand? > > thank you again...yes, i can't wait till this is all behind me > > janey >
Guest guest
Get a DDI hair elements test. Find out what metal is in the splint (probably nickel in titanium or stainless steel. Guest guest
Janey, The timing you describe of feeling much better, then much worse after removal fits the pattern of a mercury poisoned person. It sounds like you might need to go on a chelation protocol (frequent low-dose DMSA/ALA) to remove the mercury that leached from your amalgams before they were removed. This mercury would still be in your brain and liver, creating the symptoms you describe. I suggest you read Andy Cutler's book " Amalgam Illness " (there is a pretty good " quiz " that evaluates the likelyhood of mercury poisoning) and repeat the DDI hair test. >i've had my 9 amalgams out for a year and a half..felt horrible for >5 months, started to feel better...now starting to feel sick again. >i don't know how to test if i have mercury poisioning. my symtoms are >rapid heartbeat, hives, nausea, nervousness & brain fog ~ oh yes and i >had yeast i've been battling with...i'm on a yeast free diet >now...taking AQUA FLORA a homeopathic drink. > >when i started feeling better, i really felt good. > >i was also given a splint for my tmj 2 months ago, that has a piece >of metal in it..could this have triggered something? > >i am scared to take anything..i just take my multi vitamins, >calcium, magnesium and vitamin D. > >please give me your advice & thoughts. > >thanx. >janey :-) > > > > > > > > > > >======================================================= >
Guest guest
Hi Janey I agree with , it would be good to post your old results. Unless something major has happened (ie bed rest for a looong time, chelation, or lots of supplements since then), the test results are probably still pretty much the same. If you have mercury poisoning and haven't chelated, the mercury is still there, and would likely show up via impaired mineral transport. I don't know about the best brands for ALA, though Dana chelated her children very successfully with Natural Factors ALA. Many on this list use Kirkman Labs. Their ALA is convenient because it is already in fairly small dosages (25 mg, 50 mg). take care René > > thank you so much for your reply Rene. i did take a DDI hair test > about 6 months ago..maybe i should take another one now to compare and > post. > is it typical to get symtoms on and off like this? > if i do get ALA what's the best brand? > > thank you again...yes, i can't wait till this is all behind me > > janey >
Guest guest
>So it is helping but still feel slight tingles in my arm occasionally on that side >where that adapter is even tho meter says nothing. Why is this? It's probably emitting different frequencies than the meter was designed to read. Or you're just really sensitive to levels below what the meter can detect. Besides relocating and shielding an AC adapter, you could also shop around for a different adapter that is rated at the same DC output voltage and the same DC amperage and see if that makes a difference. Also, if your adapter accepts 110 - 220 volts / 50 - 60 hz AC as input, you could look for one which only accepts the voltage / frequency that's actually in your house (this is called a " non-switching " power supply, and since its a different technology, it outputs different frequencies than a " switching " power supply). There are websites which sell adapters, and I've even purchased new ones on eBay. Just do a search using the terms " AC " , " DC " , the voltage and the amperage. Also, another potential advantage of purchasing an alternate AC/DC adapter is you might be able to choose a longer cord length so the adapter is further away from you, or the transformer is placed at the plug outlet instead of halfway along the cord, etc. Marc
