Chelating this weekend without DMSA OK?

HI all,

I assume this is OK, but I apparently can't make the decision without

you!:

I don't have enough TD-DMSA for an entire round. I plan on using just

oral ALA this weekend. Sounds fine, right?

Could I use TD-DMSA for part of the round?

I thought I might use the TD-DMSA with the ALA on the last dose to

help " mop-up " ; make sense?

Have a great weekend.

yes. fine.

I'm not sure. Another option would be to use the

DMSA you have and spread it out so that it is a smaller

dose than usual, but lasts the whole weekend.

Hope it goes better than my ALA only round, which about 2 days into

it became an ALA/DMSA round. My son was a total space shot with ALA

alone.

Pam,

By adding a single dose of DMSA, you will just add redistribution.

That is, you will have 3 days worth of excretion due to ALA and

redistribution due to ALA, plus redistribution due to TD-DMSA (but

not 3 days of excretion due to DMSA). I think the costs outweigh

the benefits.

There are two kinds of " mopping up " . There's the kind of mopping

up when you take an accessory chelator with ALA to reduce ALA's

side effects. And there's the kind of mopping up when you continue

the accessory chelator for a day or so after stopping ALA. I don't

think a single dose of DMSA with the last dose of ALA will give you

much mop-up, especially relative to the added redistribution.

I would just see how it goes with ALA alone.

Consider adding or when comfortable even eliminating, the TD-DMSA or

other chelators in favor of NCD Zeolite. It is far more effective, does

not have the side effects of removing good minerals and stimulating

yeast-in fact it has fungicide properties, and will not redistribute the

heavy metals. See www.ZeoliteAutismStudy.com

<http://www.ZeoliteAutismStudy.com> for detailed information including

existing studies and audio by Dr. Prociuk, a DAN MD who has been getting

outstanding success with his ASD patients. In short, 10% have been

" home-runs " ie. they are no longer autistic, 75% have major noticable

results within weeks to a few months.

also, consider tracking the results of anything you are doing with the

Autism Treatment Evaluation checklist (ATEC) for free, found out

Thanks, I've been using the ATEC for a few years now. Good progress

in this house.
