In fact I just got back from buying some from the HFS. I am hoping it will help my 6 yo son with his handwriting. And wondering if it will help with him choosing a dominant writing hand. Currently he uses both. But then again maybe that is just how he is. I am lefthanded for writing and cutting with scissors, but with other things (ie. bowling, throwing a ball, batting) I use my right hand. Also has anyone noticed a physical change with their child from using this? Nick has upper body hypotonia and I wonder if it will help him to fill out on top. Thank you so much, =======================================================
Guest guest
No, but have you seen any improvements? We have been doing creatine for almost 4 weeks, and really haven't seen much.

I think it took about 6 weeks to really take effect. Before creatine -- just back in Oct. -- my son was taking days to write a few sentences, with much wailing and misery. Today his teacher told me he's working on a story that's up to 5 pages and he's so enthusiastic about it he won't quit . Nell

Guest guest
SAMHSA implemented MANDATORY specimen validity testing on November 1, 2004. I would find the citation in the Federal Register and have your attorney submit it to the family court. I've dealt with family court myself. They may not be up to snuff on drug testing, but they are STILL held accountable. It's up to your lawyer to do this. > > onsite labs sent out to northwest tox box at bottom for specimen > dilute NOT checked 3 31 06.neg....onsite labs sent to northwest tox > no boxes checked 12 8 05 positive 4000 no idea why...onsite labs > northwest no boxes checked 11 5 05 negative....onsite labs northwest > tox neg no boxes checked.....onsite labs northwest tox 12 29 05 > positive 475 ??? no boxes checked ..boxes say specimen dilute not > checked..those are the only tests that they gave that we requested..3 > more wont give me.....what does this mean and can I fight that..sorry > so confusing...judge says Im cronic alcoholic...family court IS not up > to same standards as others .. >
Guest guest
First creatine or creatinine? The blood lab " creatine kinase " is used to look for muscle damage in which case the levels would be high if something were wrong. Creatinine is used to measure kidney function, and if the creatinine is low that would be good. High would be bad. What the old posts say on children's creatine/creatinine: ..3 is normal for a child. Not sure how below that he is but Andy says serum creatine is usually low in children. This is a post I found by Andy on low creatine in children: Parent: Most of our kiddos have a low urine creatinine Andy: ALL children have low serum creatinine and low 24 hour urine creatinine on tests using adult normal ranges, which most tests do. This is not pathological. Parent: My sons creatinine level was low during the challenge urine test. Itwas low last time we did the test 4 months back. Should I supplement him with creatine supplements. Suggestions.......... Andy: This is typical, it is a result of the challenge test (which causes extra water to be excreted and dilutes the urine), and is not pathological. Andy some more Andy info on creatine: Creatinine levels in SERUM indicate kidney function. Creatinine in a 24 hour collection indicates whether it was done properly and handled right - for women and children you get about 0.1 mg of creatinine per 24 hours per 10# of person (ideal weight - muscle makes creatinine, fat doesn't). If you are experiencing protein malnutrition it is reduced somewhat, but the most likely explanation for low creatinine is improper sample handling. The range is for everyone from 1 year olds to 17 year olds - you need to figure the number for your kid (or yourself) as above. There are tables in the appendix of my book for adults if any of you are doing your own tests. This is what he says about supplementing it: " Creatine is pretty benign, inexpensive, and available from low cost vendors like NOW foods (orange labels on white plastic bottles, in health food stores) and may others. The powder has little taste and is slightly gritty, one can eat it off a spoon and wash it down with a liquid. It improves both brain and muscle function by levelling out mitochondrial workload to produce ATP. There is some good discussion of it in the context of neurological (though adult) issues on www.lef.org . Andy " http://onibasu.com/archives/am/154204.html I know I did not give a definitive answer, but maybe the information I found can help you decide. -- In , " l.largey " <l.largey@...> wrote: > > Hope someone can help > > My son's bloodwork has consistantly shown low creatine.
