Guest guest
, I told you what we didn't do in terms of diet, but here is what we did do: We did do all organic. We live right outside an Amish community where we could purchase all our fruits/vegetables/meats/cheese and milk without preservatives, pasteurization and artificials until we could grow our own, get our own animals. We did concentrate on protein and allow her all the milk/eggs/meat/cheese she wanted in addition to fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. My dd did buy a homemade ice cream machine and we did allow her ice cream made from raw milk, sugar and fruit. That was the one daily treat she was allowed if you don't count the whole wheat muffins with fruit and nuts that we called " cupcakes " and the whole wheat carrot/pineapple/nut cookies. One more thing we didn't: We didn't use specialized enzymes, like Houston. We used a generic enzyme from GNC for the first month only. I read something that said if you give enzymes too long that the body becomes dependent on them. I have no idea if this is true or not, but like all of us, I took the best information I had at the time and made decisions. We kept this diet for a year. We are now about 75% organic and the rest is the standard american diet. We quit supplying her preschool class with organic treats so she gets the regular cupcakes with refined white flour and hydrogenated icing that the rest do, arrrrgh, makes me ill to think about it, but she seems none the worse, only better. Good luck, [ ] - What causes improvement/was:Re: Cost of Chelation? Guest guest
Well, , with all of that raw milk and unpasteurized everything else, you were indeed supplementing enzymes! I'm trying not to be jealous; unless I inherit a farm and suddenly figure out how to take care of a cow or goats, raw dairy is nothing more than an impossible dream for us here.... :-) take care René > > We did do all organic.
