Every time I go to my NJ chiro I take my readings. It's been solid, not high or low, and stable in range from 110-120 and 67-75, pulse 50-78 range

Not sure how it fluctuated before LDN or during exacerbations. I remember one in the mid 80s that was 90/60 and the doc didn't like it that low.

[low dose naltrexone] LDN and Blood Pressure

Have any of you monitored your blood pressure before and after taking LDN? I'm wondering if it could be of use in treating hypertension.

No idea about LDN, but magnesium (as magnesium malate, from 1250 to 2000 mg/day)

may help. As magnesium is a divalent cation- same as calcium- it's a natural

calcium channel blocker of sorts, as it competes for the same site. As a result,

some people who add magnesium in this form find it lowers their blood pressure.

Other forms of magnesium (magnesium oxide and magnesium sulfate) also work, but

they may cause undesirable gastrointestinal effects. The malate salt is

well-tolerated.

Some people have reported a slight increase in blood pressure when taking LDN,

while others have reported a decrease.
