Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the reply. I get my last filling removed on Monday and am planning to start maybe 50mgs of the DMSA next weekend and then add the ALA in few months. A friend of mine said I meet the cocounting rules and have a 98% chance of mercury poisoning - but even without this I know I'm mercury toxic. I've also read that some of the other metals toxcity will go down once I begin to get the mercury out. I don't know where I'm getting arsenic since I've had bottled water for a couple years now. I notice everyone here talks about this a lot (getting good water) but nobody seems to mention that we can absort more toxins in the bath/shower everyday than drinking. I plan to get a shower filter as I'm thinking this may be a toxicity source. Thanks again, Rose/Daisy > > > Yep. Guest guest
Hi Dana, I read and printed your list. Thanks for that. You don't have anything down for uranium but doing a search I noticed that the DMSA (and ALA?) seem to help a little with Uranium and other metals (some more than others). I came across a few posts that discussed the chelation of mercury helping the other metal issues. I do hope that is the case (prolly varies from person to person however). I'm mainly concerned about the uranium. I have no idea how I got high bismarth and haven't done a search on that yet. Also the arsenic and aluminum. I've already replaced my baking soda and stopped drinking out of cans of pop a year or so ago. I also drink bottled water. I plan to get a shower filter too as I get the idea that some of this might be due to water toxicity (I have heard multiple times that we absorb more chemicals from our daily bath/shower than we do drinking). This may be an unexpected contaminant? > > > > > > Note: I've been taking anti-oxidants (just added mag/calcium/zinc so > > that's why my mag is low). It depends on your weight, but try to start at 1/8 of your weight in lbs. It usually does not help to take too much.
Guest guest
Your hair test does not meet the counting rules. That means the levels of the toxics are all meaningful, so you should definitely remove sources of exposure. ALA is the best chelator for arsenic, DMSA or DMPS for bismuth. To reduce uranium, take an iron supplement. Uranium gets elevated when your iron is low, and taking iron will decrease the uranium. (Hair iron does not reflect body levels - if you want to test iron, get a blood test.) When uranium is present in rocks and soil, it gets into the water supply and produce grown in the area. Uranium is also present in yellow ceramic glazes. -- > > Note: I've been taking anti-oxidants (just added mag/calcium/zinc so > that's why my mag is low). Guest guest
For us, aluminum, tin, nickel, arsenic, chromium have been high and returned to normal range with chelation. To truly avoid aluminum, we have eliminated any outside source of baked goods[including mixes, unless it says alum free on the box] as well as cans, foils, containers etc. > > > > > > Note: I've been taking anti-oxidants (just added mag/calcium/zinc > so > > > that's why my mag is low). Guest guest
I may start with 25mgs though I'm pretty big due to hypo-thyroid, toxicity and a life-time of bad eating (which has been improving significantly the last 5 years and esp. the last year). Thanks for your advice, Rosie/Daisy > > > > Hi , > > > > Thanks for the reply. Guest guest
Thanks for this advice , very affirming. We've recently gone organic (up from 25% to 50% and now probably 80-85%) We read all packages we bring in the house now. I also replaced my baking powder with the aluminum free kind recently. I've been off all canned soda for about a year (though I wonder about canned veggies). Most cans left in our house are soups and veggies. I try to find glass when I can (for my pasta sauces), organic jams and nut butters. We also make lots of homemade soups. Whole Foods is a great source of reasonably bulk purchases (though many other things are about double the price of normal). Their 365 brand is okay too actually. We got 2 big organic heirloom tomatoes today (I am very careful about prices so I must have misread the sign) and ended up spending $8 for them! We almost died (we live 45 minutes one-way from thew whole foods but I have a dentist appt and sauna appt Monday and will probably have to return those bad boys.) Many thanks, Rose/Daisy > > > > > > > > Note: I've been taking anti-oxidants (just added > mag/calcium/zinc > > so > > > > that's why my mag is low). Guest guest
Hi Stephanic, Thanks for your reply. Someone here who has been cheleting herself and her son for almost a year and a half and participating here said I do meet the counting rules! ha. My intuition tells me I'm very mercury toxic because of the huge exposure to dental amalgams at a young age, the replacing of severel fillings without the holistic protocol over the years and the amount of vaccines I've had. And, I have almost all the classic symptoms (hypothyroid, chronic candita, multiple miscarriages, high choleterol, extreme fatigue and exhaustion and etc.). Regardless, I hear you saying I need the ALA and DMSA (for the arsenic and bismuth) so I guess it's a non-sequiter what is is for arsenic/bismuth or mercury? Cheleting for one metal toxicity will seemingly help the others. If I don't meet the counting rules, does that me don't have to wait 3 months to start the ALA? I probably will just to be safe. The counting rules may be off because I've been supplementing some of the substances for the last 3-12 months (for my hypothyroidism and other health concerns). Turns out most of the supplements I've been taking are the ones I see recommended here. I just added calcium, mag and zinc in one supplement the last couple week (which I turned out to be low in). Thanks much for your time and opinion. > Your hair test does not meet the counting rules.
