Guest guest
Sometimes it is helpful to change the chelator. I would, like Anne, try adding in oral Ala. For the hyperactivity, try 1 gram of calcium and 500 mgs magnesium per day. Use the citrate forms and start slowly, maybe 1/4 of this and increase regularly. This amount was enough to get our 3.0 constantly moving girl to sit still for up to 15 minutes at a time. Hyperactive children also need lots of B vitamins and CLO, but the cal/mag is especially useful. Hyperactive kids use supplements at higher amounts due to stress. Good luck, [ ] Re: not seeing much progress How do you know those were his heavy metals? Have you looked into adding any antivirals? Have you considered adding ALA? Guest guest
No quick & easy answer for this. How long have you been chelating? This could be the following: 1. Results may be happening but you don't see them yet. Chelation is like putting out a fire. If your kid is hyper, it may actually be a good sign. Dr. Buttar states that one child did not appear to respond to chelation for 11 months. 2. MB12 works better after the mercury comes out. Mercury inhibits the action of MB12. So the longer you chelate, the more likely the MB12 will help. 3. Check your son's testosterone level. A new theory by Dr. Geier states that some ASD kids form mercury-testosterone sheets which are very difficult to chelate. Only way to chelate is to stop the testosterone during chelation. I suggest you watch the following Dr. Geier video. The video of Reverend Sykes is also amazing. http://www.autismmedia.org/media4.html Please keep this site posted as to your son's progress. I have a similar situation and would like to know or figure out why some kids do not make as much progress as others. Best of luck to you. dannenedrummond <dannenedrummond@...> wrote: Could someone help me figure out why I'm not seeing much progress with my son? He is getting B-12 shots every 3 days. Guest guest
Also, you don't mention an anti-viral protocal. Have you used valtrex? What about virastop and olive leaf extract? HBOT has also provided amazing results. Abid Khan <a_bit_solutions@...> wrote: No quick & easy answer for this. How long have you been chelating? This could be the following: 1. Guest guest
From: Abid Khan Dr. Buttar states that one child did not appear to respond to chelation for 11 months. <<Lots of people bought this 11 month time period that Buttar spoke of. Did not appear to work out well for most of them. Many, many went past the 11 months and still saw nothing on his protocol. But he sold lots and lots of td-dmps with that statement. Some were able to shift to the low/frequent dosing and saw improvements, some were not. We used the product on the low/frequent dosing, mostly as a cover for Ala, to control the side effects and I did like the product for those purposes. 2. MB12 works better after the mercury comes out. Guest guest
: Thanks for the advice. It would be great if Zach started being able to attend to his teacher in group settings. Right now he can only do 2-3 minutes before getting distracted! He does sit and color for long periods though > > > > Could someone help me figure out why I'm not seeing much progress > > with my son? > > > > He is getting B-12 shots every 3 days. > > He is on TD-DMPS 3 days on 4 days off. > > He takes brainchild supplements. > > I give him diflucan, probiotics and GSE for yeast. > > I give him Zinc. > > I give him Cod Liver Oil. > > He takes enzymes (zymeprime, AFP and no-fenol)--the diet did not > > work at all for us. > > > > Nothing seems to be affecting him too much. Guest guest
IMO, keep the juice if that is the way you can get him to take his supplements. It;s different for different kids, some get yeast with sugar, I could never make the connection between sugar and yeast for ours. But, for a lot of kids, sugar equals yeast. We were told to cut even fruit out. We are not in favor of eliminating good foods from the diet unless there was a very compelling reason. No, xylitol or stevia do not increase yeast. We use both sparingly. [ ] Re: not seeing much progress The thing about sugar is the only way I can get him to take his vitamins is in juice. Guest guest
We use only organic pears and pear juice with no sugar added. It is commonly understood among many of us that pears are the only fruit that yeast do not like. The pear juice can be found at Whole Foods and some Kroger stores in the Health Food section. My child reacts whenever we give fruit other than pears. --- dannenedrummond <dannenedrummond@...> wrote: > The thing about sugar is the only way I can get him > to take his > vitamins is in juice. Guest guest
: I just have a hard time believing the sugar is causing the yeast because before we did chelation, he had no yeast whatsoever and he ate sugar all the time. He LOVES fruit...I don't think I could cut that out of his diet ever. Besides, they allow people with diabetes to eat fruit (2 servings a day) so that seems crazy they told you to take those out in my opinion. > > > > > > Could someone help me figure out why I'm not seeing much > progress > > > with my son? > > > > > > He is getting B-12 shots every 3 days. > > > He is on TD-DMPS 3 days on 4 days off. > > > He takes brainchild supplements. > > > I give him diflucan, probiotics and GSE for yeast. > > > I give him Zinc. > > > I give him Cod Liver Oil. > > > He takes enzymes (zymeprime, AFP and no-fenol)--the diet did not > > > work at all for us. > > > > > > Nothing seems to be affecting him too much. Guest guest
I agree with . Whole foods that are nutritious should not be removed unless it's clear thay are not tolerated, IMO. I know juice is not quite a " whole food " ; but it's the only way we can get supplements in, and so I try to use the best quality ones I can find, then dilute as much as I can get away with. One idea is to use cranberry juice with no sugar and no other sweeter juice added (like concentrated apple or grape, etc.). I've had to buy it in the health food store, not cheap, but it has a very low sugar content and can be diluted and sweetened with xylitol and stevia. We use this for dosing chelators. Take care René > > IMO, keep the juice if that is the way you can get him to take his supplements. > > It;s different for different kids, some get yeast with sugar, I could never make the connection between sugar and yeast for ours. Guest guest
Hi This is interesting. I always thought that pears were preferred for some kids because of the low phenol content. I'm wondering what makes them good re: yeast. It's still fructose.... hmm. thanks René > > We use only organic pears and pear juice > with no sugar added. Guest guest
Chelation causes yeast to increase (not because of the chelation itself, but because of moving the metals). S S : I just have a hard time believing the sugar is causing the
yeast because before we did chelation, he had no yeast whatsoever
and he ate sugar all the time. He LOVES fruit...I don't think I
could cut that out of his diet ever. Besides, they allow people
with diabetes to eat fruit (2 servings a day) so that seems crazy
they told you to take those out in my opinion.
_______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! Guest guest
You could have a comprehensive diagnostic stool analysis from Great Smokies to see whats going on yeast-wise. Guest guest
We had one done before he started chelation. Can I get it without a doctor's order?

: I just have a hard time believing the sugar is causing the

yeast because before we did chelation, he had no yeast whatsoever

and he ate sugar all the time. He LOVES fruit...I don't think I

could cut that out of his diet ever. Besides, they allow people

with diabetes to eat fruit (2 servings a day) so that seems crazy

they told you to take those out in my opinion.< > > _______________________________________________ > Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com > The most personalized portal on the Web! >

It tastes VERY strong. I have mixed it into peanut butter and honey, which usually masks almost everything but it did not fully mask the OLE taste.
